Eco Loco Street Art Festival

Rotorua’s CBD transforms into a canvas for creativity and care at the Eco Loco Street Art Festival, where local artists create over 100 square metres of environmentally inspired murals. The event is rooted in sustainability, with paint and equipment chosen to minimize impact. Watching the murals develop at The Arts Village offers a chance to see art and eco-consciousness blend in real time. It’s a unique way to experience street art that feels thoughtful without losing its vibrant edge. The festival showcases New Zealand artists passionate about both their craft and the planet. Each mural reflects different environmental themes, sparking reflection alongside visual excitement. Whether you’re an art lover or simply curious, the event invites you to appreciate creativity that respects its surroundings. It’s a relaxed setting where you can take your time and share the experience with others who care about art and nature.
