The room was so hot that we couldnt sleep Im not even that fussed if it particularly clean but this place was very very poor Staff were friendly but would not reccomend

The Arts Factory is such a beautiful place to stay in Byron Bay. The hostel is surrounded by nature, with constant calming sounds of water that make it feel like a retreat. We stayed for 3 nights on one of the islands and loved the sound of the water. The bed was comfy, clean, and the room well equipped with a sofa and amazing views. You can also rent bikes and explore Byron like a local. Walking distance to everywhere, greaaat vibes, events, volley, lovely staff, and a fun bar. I will be back!!

The staff are lovely & the hostel is walking distance to the beach & main strip, with a bar across the road. There is a Happy Travels rep on site, who is incredibly helpful. However the dorms are quite run down, and the rooms do not have air conditioning so it becomes SO hot at night. The kitchen is overcrowded and the fridges are completely full- it is hard to tell what has just been left and what belongs to people, and the fridges don’t keep food cold because the doors often cannot be closed.
