Pepper Hills Hostels is a trendy eco-hostel inspired by traditional Sri Lankan mountain village architecture. Surrounded by lush greenery and stunning mountain views, it’s the perfect place to relax, connect, and enjoy the peaceful rhythm of nature.
We offer social common spaces, an on-site restaurant, yoga areas, guided tours, hiking, waterfall hunting, scooter rides, tea plantation visits, and a natural spring-water swimming spot for a refreshing dip. The atmosphere is calm and tranquil, yet social—ideal for eco-conscious travelers and backpackers.
Dorm beds come with privacy curtains and mosquito nets, bathrooms have hot and cold water, and our friendly staff are always happy to help.

How to say else than it was perfect. Perfect to slow down, enjoy the beautiful nature, the mountains landscape, all the outside area, The owners are very welcoming and you feel at home til the day one. Thank you Sha for your time, your life perspective sharing and your love for nature. I would definitely come back for a future sri lankese trip !

Such a wonderful hostel to stay in! I cannot recommend it enough. The place and garden are amazing. It’s outside the city, but definitely worth it, and you can easily get to Ella by bus or tuk-tuk. You can also walk to some nearby waterfalls, and the sunrise and views from the garden are absolutely stunning. The couple who runs the hostel, as well as the staff, are incredibly kind and helpful. They assisted us with extending our stay and catching the right bus to Kandy. Thank you so much
