À propos
Nawate Guesthouse gets its name from the beautiful pedestrian street it’s located on. Nawate Street is centered between Matsumoto Castle and downtown, with itself being a wonderful little shopping street with a fantastic Shrine. There are countless restaurants, cafes, mom & pop shops and bars/izakayas within minutes in all directions.
Hikers and fans of arts and culture come here for a couple days at a time to enjoy the city before heading off to the mountains or nearby small villages. Nawate Guesthouse enjoys welcoming a blend of local Nagano-prefecture citizens (Matsumoto city is by far the most entertaining city in the prefecture), international travelers, and Tokyo or Osaka people who want to escape the big cities.
Come relax with us at Nawate Guesthouse and take a stroll around this very compact and beautiful city. We have music instruments, board games, lots of books, beautiful views of the city and mountains from the lounge, and Matsumoto castle is only a few minutes away on foot.
We offer a spacious lounge, extended luggage storage (great for hikers and nearby explorers), a well-equipped kitchen, entertainment equipment (instruments, board games, books), a fantastic cafe & bar downstairs, coin laundry machines, and of course plenty of nearby recommendations.
