Iwatoyama Hostel has the best price-performance ratio! It is only a 6-minute walk to Shijo-Karasuma, which is most convenient for transportation in Kyoto. Rooms is equipped with an air conditioner and comfortable bedding for your pleasant stay.

The accommodation is an 18-minute walk from the Kyoto International Manga Museum and 2.4 km from Nijo Castle.
We also offer free WiFi throughout the building and a shared kitchen.

L'Iwatoyama Hostel à Kyoto offre un emplacement idéal et un personnel serviable. C'est un endroit calme, mais pas très social. Certains clients ont trouvé les lits inconfortables et le contrôle de température des chambres incohérent, les lits superposés supérieurs étant problématiques.

The hostel is ok but the upper beds are too high, I hit my head on the curtain rods several times. In addition, after one night, the owner wanted to take advantage of my situation (full dormitory and I was injured) to make me pay for a private room instead of accepting the proposal I made him: I proposed to pay for the accommodation on the sofa because the private room is too expensive and I am injured I can not drag the suitcases to another hostel, he did not care, he gave me a slight discount

Staff was nice, bathrooms and showers are outside of the dorms, location was okay and the a.c is above a single bed so it’s kinda unfair for whoever has to sleep directly under it, or they just heat up the room and the lower beds gets almost no air, could barely sleep a couple of nights but I guess not everyone felt the same as me.

great location, staff explained everything well. facilities were just what I needed. bed however really wasn't comfy and there was no where to really put things on the bed, which I always think should be standard. overall showers and toiletries were very nice, locker space in the room was reliable too
