Iwatoyama Hostel has the best price-performance ratio! It is only a 6-minute walk to Shijo-Karasuma, which is most convenient for transportation in Kyoto. Rooms is equipped with an air conditioner and comfortable bedding for your pleasant stay.

The accommodation is an 18-minute walk from the Kyoto International Manga Museum and 2.4 km from Nijo Castle.
We also offer free WiFi throughout the building and a shared kitchen.

In general a very good hostel. The in-room lockers were too small to put your carry-on size luggage in though. Clean overall and large single beds.

Really not a terrible experience for the price. The staff are friendly, the facilities are clean, but unfortunately the atmosphere and fellow residents dragged down the experience. The first night, the room was freezing and the second it was very hot. The rooms had little ventilation, so the… odor of other travelers was a bit much. For one night, this is a great place with a super convenient location. For three, it’s a bit rough around the edges. They do have a partnered Kimono Rental shop, tho!
