I had a genuinely enjoyable stay with YHA Apollo Bay. the rooms are basic, but even in winter they don't get too cold or industrial-feeling. good location, lovely owner, and all the amenities you could need (including an awesome kitchen and wood fire!!)

We had a good stay at Apollo Bay Eco YHA, while driving on the Great Ocean Road. Since we reached late after check-in hours, the hostel staff made sure we are able to get our keys by leaving an envelope at the closed counter. The private room we stayed in was nice but a bit minimalistic and had less space. The shared washrooms and the common areas were good. The town of Apollo Bay is so beautiful, I wish we had at least one more day to spend here.

Clean, good value, well located hostel in Apollo Bay. No frills and limited staffing, but I had a comfortable stay. Plenty of parking nearby.

Really nice hostel - exactly what we needed for our great ocean road overnight stay. Wasn’t a particularly lively or party atmosphere but had a few guests that were all friendly and sociable while cooking dinner or sitting in the lounge area. Has great facilities and nice lounge areas. Would stay again

    Very Good

Large hostel near walking distance to the beach! Not the cleanest place but ok! They used sheets instead of a simple elastic mattress cover, which were hard to put on the top bunk (since you have to do it yourself). It would have been easier to just have a normal mattress cover and duvet cover :/ Overall ok but not the best!

Nice hostel, very quiet area, we stayed here when doing the great ocean road trip. The place had a weird feel to it, weird people too and a bit odd at times. Probably wouldn’t stay again due to the quietness and weirdness.
