General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card ???? Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.
The following group types are not accepted by this hostel: Holiday with Friends, Junior / Primary School, High / Secondary School, College / University, Business Trip, Stag/Hen/Bachelor Party, Sports Group, Cultural Group If you have misrepresented the type of group you are booking for, your booking may be cancelled by the hostel."
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.

Our smiling staff are happy to help with anything you need and are eager to share insider tips on the hottest things to see and do here in beautiful Barcelona.
Your every need and want is met here at the Black Swan. Our professional chef Bobby hosts cooking lessons at the hostel, where you can learn to make mouth-watering paella and enjoy refreshing sangria for only 5€. When Bobby isn’t here, our lovely staff prepare free dinner for the guests. Every night we run a free night out where we go to the best bars and clubs in Barcelona. Our other activities include salsa classes, flamenco shows, twice-daily walking tours as well as trips to the world-famous Magic Fountain in the Plaça Espanya, all for free!! Here at the Black Swan, our goal is to provide our guests with the perfect Barcelona experience.
We know traveling can be exhausting, so we’ve created a comfortable environment where you’ll feel right at home. You’ll sleep soundly in soft, clean beds, start your day strong with a steaming cup of tea or coffee, and you’ll have our fully-equipped kitchen to prepare a home cooked meal. In our common areas, you can relax and make friends with your fellow travelers from all four corners of the globe.
Our front desk is open 24 hours a day, so there will always be someone to help you whatever you need or any questions you may have. You’ll get free bed linens, free Wi-Fi, free luggage storage, a convenient in-house laundry facility, and sparkling-clean bathrooms with piping hot showers where you can recharge after a fun day out exploring the many sights of Barcelona or getting ready for a great night out with us at one of Barcelona’s famous beach clubs.

Overview
Coming to eat, drink or sunbathe in Barcelona? Here at Black Swan, we've got a room with your name on it! If it's food you're after, check out our free cooking classes to learn how to make the best paella in town (shh... the recipe is a secret!). We've also got free breakfast and dinner every day. If you want to practise your best salsa on the dance floor and meet other travellers, tag along to one of the free evening events (we'll show you the best clubs around). We'll take you to the Magic Fountain – one of the most famous landmarks in town – for free – and the beach isn't far away either.
Location
We're right in the centre of town, between Arc de Triomf and Plaça de Catalunya. Popular spots like Ciutadella Park are only 10 minutes away on foot. If you're keen to explore Catalonia, jump on the train at Nord Station for fast connections around the area. Touching down at Barcelona-El Prat Airport? Catch the A1 train until you reach Plaça d'Espanya and switch to the L1 for five stops where you get to Urquinaona. Then, after a four minute walk you'll be at our front door!
Rooms and Dorms
Our cosy rooms are cool and comfy – plus there's air con. We've got mixed or female-only dorms and all have shared bathrooms. No need to worry about bed linen – we'll provide that for free each day. Just give us a shout at our 24-hour reception if you want to hire a towel (or you just want a chat!).
Extras and activities
There's always something going on, whether it be a salsa class or a flamenco show (all for free, of course!). With our laundry facilities, you can chuck your T-shirts in the wash – handy after those hot dance classes. Chill out in the common area over a game of pool with friends, or grab a cuppa in the café when you need a midday caffeine boost.

I have been traveling around Europe for 5 months and have stayed in many hostels. This hostel was by far my favorite. On top of being incredibly clean and in a great location, the staff were amazing. They invited me to eat dinner with them and we sat and talked for an hour. Teo played some live music on his guitar after the meal! It was honestly one of my favorite nights in a hostel ever and it felt like home! Thank you to all the wonderful staff, I love you guys! -

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Always greeting you with a smile and always ready to help and make sure your stay is pleasant. This place is modern. Beds have curtains, a light and phone outlets for You’r privacy. The hostel is located one block from public transport, has supermarkets everywhere and the rates are perfect if you’re on a budget. -

Second time in Barcelona and second time at Black Swan, absolutely love this place and the location is great. Staff is amazing and very friendly. The free hostel dinners and multiple events every night top it all off. Will be back in Barcelona for a 3rd time and will probably come back here, recommend to anyone. Shoutout to Rebecca and Johanna for being amazing staff members! -

My stay here was great. I really enjoyed the daily tours and events they offer. I particularly enjoyed the salsa dancing! Yohanna was great to bring us to the bunkers to see the sunset over the city even though we didnt get to see it with the cloudy weather but I still enjoyed it alot! It's great, the hostel is walking distance or short metro ride from nearly everything. Would definitely stay again! -

Nice hostel, friendly staff, good location. Didn't seem super social, the common area isn't that big but I didn't participate in the group cooking or pub crawl so maybe that's why. Overall, pretty good and would stay again. -

I loved the posters with the funny texts everywhere, at the toilets, at the kitchen and so on... The atmosphere is very friendly and the staff is amazing! The paella night was also very nice! Last but not least, at the end of your stay they ask you to put somewhere the sheets so they can wash and clean them, so you know that they change sheets every time someone leaves bc at many hostels maybe they don't do it! -

You can tell the staff are overworked and there is a lot of tension within the management. I went on a pub crawl organized by the hostel, but they didn't check whether the bars would be open so it dissolved, though the mgmt rudely tried to convince us to stay. The hostel is clean and the curtains on the bed are nice, but there were lots of inconveniences scattered around. The free dinners are good but they don't fill you up. The atmosphere is fine. I wouldn't stay at this hostel again.
