My favourite hostel in Colombia. Super chill atmosphere with multiple yoga sessions a day, live music on weekends and tasty vegetarian food. The walk up to the hostel is 20mins super up hill and would be v hard with a suitcase. The dorms r also half inside and half outside and quite basic, although I loved the natural experience.

One of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed. The food is some of the best I had in all of Colombia- great vegan options. Beautiful sunsets. Great social atmosphere. It’s a bit of a hike to get up there but totally worth it.

This hostel was awesome, really kind and helpful staff. But major warning: do NOT stay in the Mirador room if you want to get a good sleep. It’s right above the common area, and there was music or noise from 630 am to 1am. You are basically in the same room as the main common area. Maybe would be ok for someone who is partying a lot or who is a very deep sleeper but was not relaxing for us. We stayed in a different room, selva, the next night and it was amazing.

Really stunning hostel with the most insane views, really good value for money. Uphill walk to the hostel is very steep but honestly the worst part is how slippy it gets. Food is really yummy and yoga was a real highlight.

Perfect location just far enough outside of Minca that it’s private and quiet, but going into town only takes 10min. Several different hangout spots all with great views. Beds are super comfortable (although a little short) with good mosquito nets. If you’re in the 4-bed dorm above reception you can hear people up late at night and early in the morning. Only cold showers. Not the best kitchen, but the food was amazing and affordable; however, they were often out of some breakfast items. It seemed to attract

We had a great time. It's a must-stay place. We checked all the hostels nearby and this hotel by far had the best views and also an amazing service. I've traveled quite a bit and by far, one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

This hostel is set in the jungle with a nice view. The staff are really friendly. There wasn't much atmosphere though, but could have been the time of year. My dorm room was above the common room with no walls so I had the worst night sleep I've had since setting off 6 months ago. The kitchen needs more equipment for cooking and the showers were pretty awful. It's good for the price though :)

Mica is beautiful, as is the view from this hostel. The current owner Stefan is wonderful and has some great plans for reviving and improving the hostel that i think are quite necessary to make this hostel a more comfortable place to sleep and wake up! As minca is quite bad for mosquitoes who seem to be resistant to the deet sprays I’d definitely suggest replacing all the holed mosquito nets around the beds is a priority, as well as perhaps investing in some anti mosquito devices for around the hostel. That said, minca is cool enough in the evenings to wear long clothing as one mode of protection. I stayed in the 4 person hut, however i don’t think this space is suitable for 4 adults as the up top beds were on the floor up a very tall ladder, uncomfortable and had a lot of bugs crawling in the beds compared to the large king sized bed down top and unfortunately i had to stay in another hostel for 2 nights because that sleeping arrangement wasn’t ideal for me. If you come as a 4 and want private comfortable space then I’d book 2 private doubles, that is what I’d do next time! The food was lovely and well priced, definitely the best value and quality in minca. However the wait times could be quite long in the evenings so order early not when you’re very hungry! I would love to come back to Casa Loma in a year or a couple years to see all the changes Stefan is making come to fruition; i think this hostel will one day be heaven on earth!

really loved this hostel, amazing food (veggies or vegans options) friendly staff & beautiful views! Only thing I’d say is shower / toilet situation isn’t the cleanest & not much room for bags in the dorms, regardless I had a lovely stay here :)
