Property Description

Clink261 is a comfortable, centrally located hostel just 5 minutes' walk from King's Cross Tube and St. Pancras International Station; London’s main transport hub. The hostel offers free WiFi throughout the building and a great-value all-you-can-eat breakfast for £4.

Clink261 opened its doors 20 years ago. It's come a long way since then but it’s still got that laid-back feel that backpackers love. Staying at Clink261 feels a bit like coming home. With a self-catering kitchen, friendly staff and comfortable sofas, it’s a welcoming place to return to after a day of city exploration. The old Student Union building has been brought to life with unique British-themed interiors.

Clink261 has shared dormitory style accommodation along with girls' only dorms and private rooms. All bunk beds have individual reading lights, a USB/electric port to charge up your devices and a locker (sizes vary from room to room, bring your own padlock). Towels are included in private rooms and available to others for a small fee.

Guests can chill out in the lounge area or cook something tasty in the well-equipped self-catering kitchen. They are also welcome to head to ClashBAR at nearby Clink78 (just 320m away) where there are DJ nights, live music, pool / table football and great drinks deals.

Reception is open 24/7 and offers discounted tickets on tours and attractions. The friendly team will be happy to help with any questions.
King's Cross is a bustling and creative area of London. Famous gig venue 'Water Rats' is nearby, an open-air swimming pool is just the other side of King's Cross station (only for the brave!). 'Kerb' Street Food Market is held regularly in Granary Square. The British Museum and Camden Market are a 25-30 minutes’ walk away and all of London's big sights are easily reached on public transport.
At just five minutes’ walk from King’s Cross Underground, Clink261’s location is hard to beat.

Please make sure to read the hostel's Terms & Conditions before booking.
Special conditions apply for group bookings (20 guests or more), please contact the hostel directly.

If you wish to cancel or amend your reservation and avoid full charges for your booking, please ensure you notify us by email as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior your arrival date notice. Passed this time, I am afraid full charges will incur. View House Rules

    Superb

Staff were super friendly and the place was clean and tidy. As a spoiled American who showed up on the hottest day in history, no air conditioning was terrible. A fan would have been a special touch, but not provided.

Great location! The room was tiny, but very clean. Unfortunately I arrived on the hottest day of London, so I noticed that there is no AC. The breakfast was simple but nice. The security is nice (you need a pass to enter). Recommend for budget travelers.

Close to King's Cross which is a big hubb for the public transport. The staff is very nice and the Dorms was ok : electrical plug, USB and light for each bed. I'll be back.

    Fabulous

Everything was pretty good, but the guy on reception wouldn’t let anyone check in until exactly 2:30. There were ten of us waiting and I had been up for nearly 24 hours at that point, there wouldn’t have been any harm in letting some people in once their bed was ready surely.

    Fabulous

    25 Jul 2019
I opted for the 18-bed dorm (because cheapskate). The bunks were comfy and clean and the lockers (provide your own padlock) big enough for my budget-airline-carry-on sized wheeled suitcase as well as my daybag. The room was a bit on the stuffy side but in fairness it had been over 39 degrees in London. Location is superb and the price is amazing given where it is. The breakfast (pre-book £2.50) is probably the cheapest you'll get in London.

    Very Good

    05 Aug 2019
We were only there for the night to catch a flight in the morning so I cant say much. Pretty much what you would expect from a 18-person dorm room. The lady at reception was very sweet despite it being 11.30 at night! The rooms have a locker for every bed, that fit my standard carry-on suitcase. The surrounding area really doesn’t feel safe at all at night, however the hostel does!

Good location, not so good facilities, small rooms, and in any case do not book breakfast in Clink 261.

    Good

Only spent 1 night here passing through stayed in 4 bed female dorm. It was extremely small and claustrophobic. The space between the bunks were only big enough for 1 person to walk through. Thankful to have only spent 1 night.

Rooms are cramped and have little airflow so they're uncomfortably warm and humid.

The worst hostel I've ever been. I booked a shared room with 4 beds and it ended up being a (no kidding) 6 square meters room, we could barely stand up and handle the bags, and thanks god I only stood there for one day so I had no troubles with the rest of the roommates trying to move inside there. The rest of the hostel is uncomfortable, lacks appropriate cleanliness. Close to the main train station but the zone was still horrible in comparison with the rest of London.
