Property Description

Clink261 is a comfortable, centrally located hostel just 5 minutes' walk from King's Cross Tube and St. Pancras International Station; London’s main transport hub. The hostel offers free WiFi throughout the building and a great-value all-you-can-eat breakfast for £4.

Clink261 opened its doors 20 years ago. It's come a long way since then but it’s still got that laid-back feel that backpackers love. Staying at Clink261 feels a bit like coming home. With a self-catering kitchen, friendly staff and comfortable sofas, it’s a welcoming place to return to after a day of city exploration. The old Student Union building has been brought to life with unique British-themed interiors.

Clink261 has shared dormitory style accommodation along with girls' only dorms and private rooms. All bunk beds have individual reading lights, a USB/electric port to charge up your devices and a locker (sizes vary from room to room, bring your own padlock). Towels are included in private rooms and available to others for a small fee.

Guests can chill out in the lounge area or cook something tasty in the well-equipped self-catering kitchen. They are also welcome to head to ClashBAR at nearby Clink78 (just 320m away) where there are DJ nights, live music, pool / table football and great drinks deals.

Reception is open 24/7 and offers discounted tickets on tours and attractions. The friendly team will be happy to help with any questions.
King's Cross is a bustling and creative area of London. Famous gig venue 'Water Rats' is nearby, an open-air swimming pool is just the other side of King's Cross station (only for the brave!). 'Kerb' Street Food Market is held regularly in Granary Square. The British Museum and Camden Market are a 25-30 minutes’ walk away and all of London's big sights are easily reached on public transport.
At just five minutes’ walk from King’s Cross Underground, Clink261’s location is hard to beat.

Please make sure to read the hostel's Terms & Conditions before booking.
Special conditions apply for group bookings (20 guests or more), please contact the hostel directly.

If you wish to cancel or amend your reservation and avoid full charges for your booking, please ensure you notify us by email as soon as possible and at least 48 hours prior your arrival date notice. Passed this time, I am afraid full charges will incur. View House Rules

    Superb

Stayed in a private room before an early Eurostar train the next day. The staff were friendly, the rooms and facilities were clean, and the location can't be beat for St Pancras station. The only niggles were the lack of sound insulation, meaning you hear every coming & going and conversation in the corridor and, related to this, that there was a speaker playing ambient music right outside the room.

Clean, close to transit, and friendly staff. Rooms are rather small but it wasn’t too much of an issue for me since I was only there two nights. Overall I had a good stay. I would not recommend this place for long stays unless space is not an issue for you.

Good place for if you just need somewhere to stay for the night. Great location, clean and good value for your money but it’s nothing too special.

This place just doesn't work in the summer. Way too hot, and incredibly small rooms.

Some pictures of the hostel are not from the hostel. They are from another hostel more than 5 minutes walking from there. The 18 bed room has the beds completely pressed together. You sleep almost touching the people beside you. I wouldn't recommend use this room.

Felt like I was staying in a prison. Tiny rooms with no floorspace for standing or chairs, windows that don't open freely for ventilation, sweaty foam mattress slabs, noisy metal bed frames and locker cages, had to go to a different floor for girls toilet and shower, indifferent staff, and no social atmosphere. Worst sleep ever at a hostel due to hot summer night with no ventilation and noisy banging doors. Acceptable only as a pitstop before or after train travel from King's Cross St Pancras.
