Stayed here the night before our Fraser tour. The hostel it’s self is great, good facilities and pancake breakfast is great. Only thing was the desk staff had no idea what was going on in relation to the tours, we got told the wrong time for our briefing and took out cash for a deposit that didn’t actually need to pay! Would recommend doing 2night tour over the 1night as we did one night and felt that we didn’t see that much, but others on the 3 night said it was amazing.

Pleasant stay! I wasn't part of the Fraser Island tour there, but I did't feel any different! great walk for the sunset and nice facility. The only problem was with tableware as there almost was nothing in the kitchen to put my food on- I assume most of guests were given metal tableware that they were taking to Fraser Island camp. Everything else was good- the bed was a bit squeaky though.

The hostel was exactly what you’d get for your money. Layout was poorly designed. The cleaners started cleaning the room before the checkout time of 9:30 so when we were packing, it was really awkward as they were trying to sort out the rooms before we’d even had a chance to leave. Really good location - right next to the bus stop.

Mostly just people going to Fraser island so it’s sort of just a before/ after place but facilities were good and free vegan pancakes were yummy!

I stayed here the night before going on a Fraser island excursion tour and a night after the tour finished. its pretty average, you get what you pay for. the facilities are pretty basic. if you're looking for somewhere cheap to stay before Fraser island then this is your place.

Security is almost nonexistent and there were only a couple outlets to share amongst everyone in the room. A fun place to stay though when tours aren’t leaving the next morning.

Okay for a short stay but we've stayed at better places for a similar price. The staff wasn't very friendly. The kitchen is poorly equipped (barely any bowls & pots) and quite messy - maybe one could label shelves to keep things organized. The thing we disliked the most was that the door of the dorm room did not lock automatically when closed, meaning that you have to rely on your roommates to lock the door behind them when they leave. This was especially annoying since there are no lockers.

Good points: the place is clean, they have nice sofa's to relax on during the day and despite my room being close to the bar once I closed the bedroom door I couldn't hear the bar. Bad points: check in and out takes a long time -3 people on reception to check out dingos and fraisers guests. If something isn't working staff aren't responsive about getting it fixed. The food at the bar is bad value for money - your right by the main streets cafe's/ pubs go there much better food. Bad WiFi

Unwelcoming staff, felt judgy. No lockers in rooms. Crappy wifi, only worked in common areas. The kitchen was very gross. Good location. Decent enough for stop over for Fraser Island. Wouldn’t recommend to friends.

Friendly staff on check in, stayed here for Fraser was glad it was just a night! Both of the kitchens were disgusting, no cutlery or crockery you had to hunt between kitchens to find something to use which was frustrating! Hardly any plugs in room for 7 guests the hostel needs a major upgrade but will get away without having to do so as these two connected hostels are basically the only place to stay in Rainbow beach. Feel very left out if you are not doing Dingos tour. Rainbow is a nice place
