Property Description

Finca Carpe Diem Ecolodge is a hidden gem for hiking and relaxation lovers in Paso del Mango, near Minca. We offer three swimming pools, magnificent views over endless forests and river access from the house.
There are lots of hikes you can make (short and long, guided or on your own). We also provide yoga classes, massages and farm-to-table meals.
Our facilities are set up in the midst of lush forests with lots of open and green spaces between rooms and communal areas. We don' t have close neighbours, there are no bars or restaurants nearby (except ours :)) and traffic is very low.
Wherever you go or walk, you will feel the fresh air and tranquility around you. This remote situation can be inspiring and makes it relatively easier for us to comply with COVID-19 procedures and precautions. Geographically we are located in the Minca area (North Colombia) but our exact location is the village of Paso del Mango (READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY), a beautiful tropical valley crossed by two rivers. The landscape is the same but less people and more wild nature compared to busy Minca.

- The lodge is located right within our farm and nature reserve. You will be surrounded by mountains, rivers and forests on every side.
- Three swimming pools with large terraces, and spectacular views over the surrounding mountains and jungle.
- Located alongside a crystalline river with private entrances, dozens of swimming holes and impressive waterfalls nearby (some are over 40 meters high).
- Unique excursions within short walking distance to coffee and cacao farms, lost cities, nature reserves, private 360° viewpoints, waterfalls and birding places.
-We offer yoga classes and massages.
- All rooms come with air conditioning or natural rooftop materials so you have a good rest at all times.
- All beds have first quality mattresses. Our private double rooms are provided with King size mattresses and cotton bed linen.
- A lounge with comfortable seats, and huts with lots of hammocks to relax.
- Unique restaurant with family styled healthy 'farm-to-table' dinners. We also offer meat, chicken and fish a la carta. Our breakfast comes with homemade bread.
- We are committed to social and environmental goals. For example, we are undertaking a tree planting project. Also, all our staff lives in the village nearby and we work with locally manufactured ingredients, often from our own farm.
- Important: you will be on a Colombian finca. There is loooots of space and nature on all sides. You will find a peaceful, relaxing and comfortable environment that is hard to find elsewhere.

I‘ve had three amazing nights at the ecolodge. The view is incredible, the pools are good to relax and the volunteers are so kind and friendly. The Falafel was my favorite food. I would definitely go again. And the waterfall tour and visiting the cacao farm is absolutely worth it

I absolutely loved staying here! It offers something very different to other hostels and the location is so beautiful. The place is perfect to chill but there are also lots of beautiful walks and tours you can do in the area. I was very keen to stay longer!

We had an amazing time here! Beds were super comfy and food was delicious. You do only have the option of eating here and everything is paid for (breakfast too!). We did a guided hike to see the 5 waterfalls, which was brilliant and the guide was great. We also did the self guided walk to the Santa Marta vista which was great, too! Very relaxing, chilled vibe. WiFi cut out because of a storm but was back in two days. Getting there is a little difficult. We recommend paying 140m cop for a car!

Awesome place! Beautiful and in the middle of the jungle. You can do a waterfall tour that I highly recommend and chill in the pools with an awesome view over the mountains. Definitely go here if you want a nature experience. The hostel is a bit pricy but all facilities are good and the food is delicious.

The hostel is really beautiful. They made everything with organic material. The three pools where all super clean. The hostel is the only place where you can eat, so luckily all the food was really fresh! We did the birdwatching tour, but didn’t saw a lot of birds. This was a bit dissapointing but the guide did his best. The waterfalltour is really recommended.

A truly beautiful hostel. Only thing to improve would be a shower head rather than tube out the wall and perhaps WiFi in the top pool as well as by the restaurant. Staff were great, amazing tour of the waterfalls with a brilliant tour guide and our favourite holiday dog so far, Cruella, The Dalmation. Would absolutely return.

We were meant to stay in the 8 bed dorm but when we arrived they had upgraded us to private rooms and gave us a discount on our rooms so we had a lovely experience. This is a hostel that is extremely difficult to get to so be aware of this before booking - as it is in the middle of the jungle there are LOTS of bugs which can be a bit disconcerting. None the less we had an amazing experience. The only food available on the area is what they serve which is nice but slightly pricey for what it is.

Staff really friendly. They offer so many activities here to do around the area. We did the 5 waterfall tour and really enjoyed it! Also very clean, they made my bed every day which was so lovely. The only thing is that the food they provide is the only food in the area and it’s kind of pricey for what it is but still good! It’s definitely a place to relax there’s not much of an atmosphere in the evening but when we were there the bar was closed every night
