Loved the prison hostel! Stayed there for a week and can't complain about a single thing. The dorm was really quite, the beds were comfy and the common area was designed that people get together and talk or hang out. Really social place! I highly recommend! Also really modern facilities

Favorite hostel in Freo. Really good value. Has a chill, friendly atmosphere (not a party hostel). Dorms are fairly spacious and kitchen is a good size. I love the big common room. Yard outside has hammocks, etc. Staff are super friendly and helpful with tours, recommendations, etc. Hostel has movie nights, wine&cheese night, etc which is awesome for meeting other people. Just pas main street so easy to walk everywhere. Bathrooms, kitchen always super clean. Plus, the prison is a cool location!

Everything was quite good, especially for the price and location. My only recommendation would be installing a few more toilet and shower facilities.

Fantastic hostel, clean, tidy and safe. Kitchen was really big. I loved the idea that it was a converted prison. Great location, less than 5 minute walk into town. Although no fault of the hostel, it was quite quiet when I went and therefore did not get much of a chance to interact/ meet new people. There were also quite a few families and older couples staying there. Having an en-suite bathroom on the dorm was ideal and a basic breakfast provided was just what you needed. Would stay again!

Pros: The hostel is in a great location with bars, restaurants and a supermarket located in walking distance. The kitchen is large and the hostel do different things each night (e.g. free dinner) which was fab. Cons: The hostel hold a lot of people and the walls are thin, which meant my friend and I were always woken up. Another is that the WiFi is only in communal areas and is still so bad. They make you pay for ‘premium WiFi’ ($5 a day) if you want a stronger connection and it’s still bad.

Worst hostel I’ve seen. Nothing like it looks online, really dirty and no bed clothes and the sheets that were there were dirty. Couldn’t even stay here and lost my money for 4 nights
