This is a lovely hostel in a great location, a short walk from everything in the centro. It's quiet, and there are plenty of places to sit and relax either in the courtyard or dining room. The bathrooms are constantly cleaned, and the staff is very personable. There is also a supermarket located just around the corner. The lockers in the dorms have electrical outlets built inside of them. Very recommended!

Comfortable stay and very affordable. The breakfast was modest, but included bread and fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, and mate de coca. Big lockers were available and they held our luggage while we were at Machu Picchu for free. The courtyard is open which makes everything a bit cold in the rain, but otherwise it’s a perfectly calm and comfortable place to sleep while you’re enjoying more active days hiking around cusco. Bathrooms and dorms were very clean.

    Fabulous

Great hostel! Perfect for couples with big rooms and friendly staff!! The ONLY one thing that was not so good was that one time I took a shower at night time and the water simply stopped running...it was too late to say anything but I was literally freezing. We told them the next morning and of course they apologized but I expected some sort of compensation... But again I must say it was a great hostel :)

Pros: staff super friendly and helpful, great free breakfast, big spacious dorm room and big locker, quiet at night, good showers, overall very enjoyable, stayed 3 times Cons: quiet season so not much vibe, had music playing until 10pm that was the same bogan rock 80s songs each day

Gaia is fantastic. It's really quiet and clean. It's an ideal hostel if your plan is to rest. The staff is really nice and helpful, they helped us create a great route to visit the Sacred Valley on our own. The only thing is that for the price we are paying I would expect to have an energy connector next to my bed and towels!! (one towel per guest is fair!). Breakfast is fine: it has coffee, milk, fruit, cereal and bread. We would repeat!

    Very Good

    11 Oct 2019
Lack of hot water. Paid extra for private ensuite room with bathroom however No toilet paper in the bathroom, no running water from shower at all. Had to request they turn on running water at 6 am when we realized we couldn’t use the shower we paid extra for. Charged extra for coffee we did not consume. Over all pleasant staff but no sense of urgency to go above and beyond. Comfortable common areas.
