Awesome hostel! The owner was so wonderful and accommodating, and the location is great. We stored some backpacks here while hiking the Quilotoa Loop and it felt very secure. Highly recommend!

Cafe Tiana was a wonderful place to stay in Latacunga. It was perfectly situated in the center of the historic area, with restaurants all around. They rent different items from the Hostal to the surrounding areas like Chimborazo. The interior is very colorful and happy. The bathrooms are clean, with good pressure for the showers and hot water. Breakfast was an A+. I highly recommend staying here.

Hostal Tiana was the perfect place to launch off for Cotopaxi and the Quilotoa loop. We stayed here 2 nights as an in between stop for our adventures backpacking and climbing. Very nice atmosphere, the owners were very helpful. The location was on a nice, historic, walk thru street. Walkable distance to bus stop. We enjoyed Latacunga more than we thought! Charming town. Allowed for gear storage for $1/day. Book on not Hostal world, the hostal didn’t have our original reservation.

All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The free breakfast was basic but add-ons were available. The kitchen is fully equipped and huge, and available for guests to use! The space was clean and very comfortable and colorful, and the common areas encourage mingling. There was also free coffee and tea 24/7. The laundry service is expensive, but Mari recommended a local laundromat, and even showed us where to go on a map of the area. We ended up extending our stay! The location is also great!

Hostal Tiana's is a good, safe, clean place to stay as a jump-off point for the various adventures in the Latacunga area (Quilatoa, Cotopaxi, etc.). The hostel is a little run down, but the staff are friendly and helpful, and free breakfast is prepared and ready when you wake up. Location is great - lots of restaurants nearby and is only a short walk to the bus station.

Great place and great dorms. Charming little hostal. Everyone was friendly. Landed here for the super bowl and was able to find a soccer bar in town to watch it. Great experience.

Hostel is run down and it’s not a very social hostel, no real common area for everyone to hang out. Staff are great and very helpful, they charge to refill water bottle with filtered water which I thought was a bit much. Also the laundry was very expensive, might be better options else were. Location is very central, ready to get around

Good breakfast and nice chillout area! The wifie does not work in the dooms, but in the common areas. The staff is nice and they give you a lot of recommendations. They also offer tours to Quilotoa, Cotopaxi etc.

This is a fairly no-frills hostel that primarily serves as a pass-through and bag storage spot for folks headed to the Quilotoa Loop. They charge for water, but serve a free, simple breakfast. The hours for the facilities are strange and the desk is not 24-hours, but we got some great information that really helped us reach and stay on the trail to Isínlivi.

It's the little things that can make or break a hostel experience. Unfortunately for Cafe Tiana, they don't deliver on any of the small things. Pros: * Location, right next to the town square Cons: * No social atmosphere or activities * Charging to refill your water (this is a BIG no-no) * $2/day to hold bags * Day tours to Quilotoa $35-40, compared to the $2 it takes to get a bus from the station yourself * Pillows and bedding are awful * Toilet leaks in rooms * Horrendous pillows and bedding
