One of the best hostels I've stayed at. It's in a somewhat rundown area of Detroit that is beginning to gentrify so the surrounding area has tons of abandonned houses to explore. Cool.street art in the area too. It's quite close to the downtown core and a five minute walk to Michigan Avenue. Go to Slows BBQ. Trust me. The Hostel itself is super cute. They have two different coffee beans and two kitchens. The staff was more than friendly and were always down to chat. It really felt like home.

Great location, very clean. The staff was super helpful in recommending local food spots and things to do. I was there for a weekend and was able to rent one of their bikes to cruise around and explore the city. Staff recommended a really nice scenic route and it was amazing! They were so accommodating! Will definitely be back next time I'm in Detroit!

I really liked this hostel and the location. It is not at all far from downtown and all the action, and it is located in a quiet area. The hostel itself is very nice and from what I recall quite comfortable. For me this is the perfect spot any time I should return to the Motor City.

This is a quirky hostel near Corktown. The staff was amazingly friendly as were the other patrons. I have stayed at quite a few hostels so a few things to note: the is no breakfast included and you may want to bring a lock for your locker. A lock isn't needed but could be helpful if it makes you feel comfortable. I wish there were nightly tours organized but I imagine it would be hard with a small hostel. All in all - this is a great

I’m from just across the border (on the Canadian side) and wanted to show my friend from out west, the coolest city in the Midwest! This hostel did not disappoint. They let us rent out bikes for a reasonable cost and the facilities were great!

This is an excellent home-turned-hostel. As such, there is little common area. The staff are friendly and responsible. The location is superb imo.

Beautiful building with many artistic flourishes, very colorful. Location was pretty good for Detroit, felt pretty safe and welcoming. I had a private room with two bunk beds for about $70/night. It was a bit noisy because I was near a staircase, but nothing major. Wish I'd had more time to peruse the library, appreciated being able to use the computers to do research on local stuff. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hostel. I paid for parking inside the gate but did not use it. It is safe on the streets to park. I had a Thule ski box on the top of my car that is easy to break into but it was safe. The location by Corktown restaurants is great for walking - for vegetarians, we recommend Emu restaurant on Michigan Street. Great atmosphere.
