“Very considerate staff and always willing to help”
“They made us have a great time!!! Totally recommended!! ”

Another important point to highlight is that we are located 80 meters away from Playa Carmen, one of the best surf points in Santa Teresa.

If you never surfed and wanted to experience what this feels like, we offer classes with Javier, our local instructor.

If you already know how to surf or have surfed before, we also have available boards to rent.

As we are near the main crossroads of the town ... you will have convenient access to the only ATMs, pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants.
We offer beds in shared rooms and private rooms, with air conditioning, and private bathrooms with hot shower.

In addition, we have available:

- A continental breakfast to start your day full of energy: pancakes and fruits (pineapple, banana and apple) with coffee / tea / cooked mate. Every day from 8 am to 9 am.

- Free coffee 24 hours.

Dos Monos is great, they have a kitchen with 4 fridges to use, the rooms are spacious enough for bags, they even fit under the beds. Beds are comfortable, a little to soft for my liking but that is preference. The breakfast is delicious and made for you. The atmosphere is friendly. They had this delicious banana cake at the reception, so yummy. No bathroom in the room so had to walk downstairs to shower and use toilet which isn’t a problem.

Easily one of the best hostels I've stayed at. Dos Monos may not be the fanciest place to stay in town, but the atmosphere and great people who stay and work there make it a really special place, where you feel at home straight away. Special shout out to Candy for being awesome and bringing everyone together!

Really enjoyed my stay at Dos Monos. It was very easy as a solo traveller to meet others. Hostel events almost every night made for a great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone staying in Santa Teresa.

The dorm I was in was too hot to sleep well in. It was actually cooler outside, but there is too much dust and street noise to leave the door open. The private room was amazing though. Super clean, quiet, cold, and great bathroom with hot shower. The kitchen and water filter were really nice and it was nice to have a pancake breakfast every morning. The staff, especially Candy, were incredibly sweet and helpful and definitely made my stay!

Overall really good experience! my only complaint is that the air conditioning was really cold at night, so you don't need to worry about sleeping hot lol!!

Hostel had a great location close to the beach, the room (private double en-suite) was simple, a double bunkbed that was unfortunately quite creaky and ok to sleep in. The breakfast was simple but worked. Organized tour to Isla Tortuga was decent. Overall good value for money and mostly good for the location.

Close to the Beach, good restaurants nearby, Nice Staff and comfy mattress. Little too expensive for what you get - just one shower and toilet for the dorms, so-so clean kitchen, bunks where you are wondering whether you will be squished in the bottom bunk cause it feels very, very unstable. Didn't really have a nice and open vibe the days we where there. To sum it up- Fulfilled it's duty but didn't really stand out.

Only one shower and one toilet between 4 dorm rooms! Good location on the Main Street and the two ladies on reception were very friendly.

Unfortunately, this hostel was no good. It's smaller than most of the hostels in Santa Teresa, the kitchen is inside and uncomfortable (someone stole my mango lol), the location is right on the road (it's loud and dusty), the wifi is BAD (and I work on my computer ;/) and the whole bathroom situation is a mess; at one point in the morning, 5 of the bathrooms I tried to use were either broken, flooded, or in use. It's nice the rooms have a/c, but it was stuffy & smelly. I would NOT recommend.
