Akih Pods Hostel has sleek and contemporary Pod-style accommodations that meet the needs of all our guests. Our staff is friendly, efficient, and eager to make your dream vacation come true.

Our Pods feature comfortable mattresses, interior lights, outlets for computer and phone chargers, lockers and privacy curtains. All rooms are equipped with AC units for your comfort. Shared rooms of 6 pods with Private Bathroom, and Shared rooms of 6 with Shared Bathrooms.

We're located in the heart of Santa Teresa, Playa del Carmen. 100 meters South of Super Costa and 75 meters East. It's easy to find us, but hard to leave. Our goal is to provide our guests with an amazing, unforgettable experience. Our staff is friendly and wants only to facilitate your stay in this beautiful country, and particularly in the magic Santa Teresa, a legendary destination for surfers, youth, families and nature lovers. We offer practical, economical yet comfortable accommodations.

Akih Pods Hostel Policies & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 48h before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay. Limited parking spaces.

Check in from 2:00 P.M to 21:00 P.M.
Check out 10:00 A.M

Payment upon arrival by cash or credit card, deducting any down payment you may have made.

Taxes not included - 13.00%

Breakfast not included - 5 USD per person per day.

Reception Hours 8:00 A.M. to 20::00 P.M. No curfew.

We do not accept customers younger than 18 years old years of age.

The grounds are beautiful, lush, and alive with creatures. We awoke to the sound of howler monkeys and bird song. Unique-looking squirrels scurry about the outdoor dining area. During one meal, a loud thud alerted us to an iguana falling from the tree (it was unfazed). The staff creates a friendly community environment (even including us in a birthday celebration). All of this is within walking distance of beautiful beaches! Highly recommend!

Friendly atmosphere but the dorms and beds are absolutely tiny! When people are coming and going drunk it becomes very disruptive because of the tiny size of the room - someone also drunkenly knocked my curtain down when I was sleeping which wasn’t great. More of a party hostel than calm hostel which I was not expecting.

During my stay the staff that worked there was incredibly welcoming and helpful! The AC in the room was amazing, except didn't work one of the nights I was there, and some people said it can be a hit or miss. Plenty of fridge, cooking and hanging out space!
