Our hostel is located in the colonial city of Morelia (Michoacán, Mexico), also known as the city of the pink quarry. We are located right in the Historic Center, which has been declared a cultural heritage of humanity, and is known as one of the most beautiful in the country. We are right in front of one of the most emblematic buildings of the city, the former convent of Carmen. We are just three blocks away from 'The Cathedral of Morelia', which is located on the main street, we are in a privileged area due to the proximity of the museums, and the best restaurants and bars in the city.

Our hostel has cosy mixed dormitories conditioned with individual beds and lockers, the house maintains the style of colonial construction, since being a building of the Historic Centre must maintain the architectural integrity. We also have a rest room, fully equipped kitchen, showers and toilets, as well as a large terrace with an incredible view of the former convent and Plaza del Carmen. Our mission since we founded the hostel has been to provide a home environment and a deep respect for the environment, therefore the hostel has been decorated by using recycled material and the constant effort of our staff to generate art with said reuse.

    Superb

The hostel is nice and is well located and has a nice view of the ex-convent from the terrace. I love that the beds aren't bunks and are single beds instead. It was completely empty when I was there because it's low season, but the staff still made me feel welcome. The website states breakfast is included but there wasn't breakfast, not even coffee, but again I assume because of low season? The only real downside was I never managed to get a wifi connection for more than two minutes.

Pros: - Great balcony view - Homey feel - Cleaning women were helpful - Lockers Cons: - Lack of ventilation left a moldy smell in the rooms and whenever someone smoked in the entrance, the entire place would smell of cigarettes - Continental breakfast

    Very Good

They are a bit stingy, the lights are off all the time, even in the public area. It always so dark. There are no much public space, basically just a bed for sleep. The shower water is so little, and the space is so small.

literal mold is growing on the walls in the dorms, which are crumbling. there were never employee available to unlock the gate to let me in so i had to climb it every time i wanted to come in or out. i have photos of the mold but can’t figure out how to put them online. the showers also smelled horrific as an added bonus. also keep in mind that the main photo on the page isn’t actually the hostel, it’s the building across the street which feels a little dishonest.
