Overview

Your authentic Parisian experience starts at Le Regent Montmarte by Hiphophostels. With views of the Sacré-Cœur from our front door, you’ll be instantly flooded with the culture of the City of Lights. We love to have fun at this rock ‘n’ roll themed hostel – ask the multilingual reception staff about nightly events. You can get a French breakfast for just a few euros too. In the evening grab a drink from the in-house bar (and don't forget your free welcome shot!) and daydream on a bean bag in the relaxation room.

Location

You'll find us in the 18th arrondissement, between the galleries of the Montmartre district and the bars of Barbès. Gare du Nord station's a 12-minute stroll away. Hop off your train or flight, check in and head directly to the Moulin Rouge – a 13-minute walk – to snap that iconic photo. For la tour Eiffel (Eiffel Tower) and the Louvre museum, Anvers Métro station is steps away. Prefer beer? Walk eight minutes into Pigalle to get to know the residents in underground bars.

Rooms and Dorms

We're a locally owned hostel and like to keep things homely. That's why your rooms and dorms have personal touches like potted plants (we love a bit of green!). You'll get free bed linen and hair dryers. People-watch from your balcony in a single, double or twin room. Travelling with friends? You can stay in a triple or family room. Opt for a female-only or mixed dorm if you're going solo.

Extras and activities

With free Wi-Fi and laptops on loan, you can indulge your inner geek and research the history of Paris (or quickly Google the top five must-sees!). Pick up a free map of the Montmartre area to kick-start your tour. Love to express yourself through drawing? Add a masterpiece to our chalkboard wall in the games room or show off your musical talents on the guitar (hey, don't be shy). Or just settle in with a book from the exchange.

Loved this place! Had a private room en-suite and it was perfect for our three night stay. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was just large enough to feel comfortable. It was warm (when it snowed outside). It had a colors that welcomed me into the room. I really enjoyed my stay there. We had washer/dryer facilities to use if needed. Bfast was 6 euros- which is amazing for the area. Would love to stay here again- it’s in an amazing location that is walkable around Paris

    Fabulous

Felt more like a hotel. There are no organized events like game nights, bar crawls, etc. which can make it hard to meet other travelers. The hostel is kinda far from the major sites like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. Its also located in a kind of sketchy area, not terrible, but I was definitely extra alert walking alone at night! It is within walking distance of the Sacré-Cœur, the Moulin Rouge, & lots of small shops, restaurants, and bars. Overall my stay was comfortable!

We did not expect to arrive to shocking mattresses and bed frames. However that does not compare to the lack of hygiene presented in the bathrooms. Please consider renovations . Elevator was handy and the location was really convenient.

We were completely and utterly disappointed when we walked into our dorm room as it was not the same as advertised. It looked like we walked into a mini jail cell. Beds were not made, the light in the room was super dimmed, the “lockers” provided in the room were like small spa lockers and the bathroom looked like it wasn’t cleaned in months. One of the guest staying there followed us to our room, which super uncomfortable and weird.

The worst hostel ever. Not clean at all. Only 2 sockets at one of the beds. Small beds. Smells weird. And finally, there was no hot water for 2 days. Very disappointed.

The staff was not helpful at all. I booked this hostel for me and my friend and when we checked in, we were put in separate rooms for some reason, even though I booked them together. The guy at the front desk was not accommodating or welcoming at all. The room and bathroom was filthy and I would not recommend staying here. You can find so much better with your money.
