This most sophisticated hostel's massive lounge is excruciatingly well fortified with brilliant ancient furniture, cable TV, and aided by vats of especially imported coffee. The shelves of dazzlingly readable used books there, and downstairs, were donated by a generous medical doctor years ago. Get the New York City Subway graphic for your phone and WHOOSH, you're in. Note that Graham Avenue, just west, has all the best shops. The pedestrian access to Williamsburg Bridge is at Bedford Street.

It's a great hostel. The shower takes a while to heat up. I wish they would turn up the water heater instead of wasting so much water. I can't imagine the cost benefit ratio works well keeping it cold. The murals on the walls are pretty stupid. That's actually being kind. Other than that, it is as good as it gets for $50 right off the edge of Williamsburg. I walked at night but might be better to just take an Uber to there much past 11PM. It is in a desolate block and well, it's a city.

I had a great time at NY Moore! The location is amazing in Brooklyn, and there's lots to check out in the area around the hostel plus multiple nearby subway stops to get to Manhattan or anywhere else. The 3-bed female only dorm was perfectly fine and clean, so no complaints there. The staff were also quite helpful and friendly! It didn't seem to be the most social of hostels but that was fine by me. Overall I would definitely stay again!

Nice hostel in a reasonable location! I stayed in a mixed dorm which was huge! loads of space, a sofa in the middle, and not a bunkbed in sight. The living room was nice to sit in also just to relax at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The neighbourhood - there wasn't a great deal of places to go nearby but the subway was about a 10min walk away (choice of lines) so easy enough to get to W'burg proper, or to Manhattan.

Great to have an own bathroom in the dorm. Aircrafts flying into JFK were really loud. Room was very cold but staff brought warm blankets the day after. Coffee and tea all time was great, I pretty much used the hostel to sleep only but they have a big kitchen and evening Programm, Netflix in the living room.

I had the bad luck that the L train wasn’t working the 4 days of my stay and thus I needed to walk a longer distance to get somewhere. The facilities are ok, the lockers are small but at least the rooms are big, they put a tag with your name on the bed and yet one day I found out this guy sleeping on my bed and he said that it was free (because the hostel don’t use #s for the beds or assigns you one). The area is ok, I walked around 1-2am outside and nothing dangerous happened just be careful.

Very poor customer service. In the hostels defence it was only one of the guys at the front. Hardly told me about the facilities downstairs and couldn’t even smile and only gave one worded responses. Games room was cool but I had to find it myself after a couple of days. Events put on is third party and no one gets around them so kinda hard to meet people for a solo traveller.
