Hostel Pueblo Magico is conveniently located a 10-minute walk from the local ADO bus station (which takes you all over Mexico) and about 10 minutes from the collectivos that take you to the playa, ruins, and cenotes of Tulum! The owner has a big heart. He will make you a traditional Mexican breakfast in the morning and he will give you great tips for exploring the city and surrounding areas. He made me feel very welcomed. Owner, if you read this, please email me.

Been to Tulum a few times, and this is easily my favorite place that I've stayed. Fantastic location that is a few blocks away from the noise and busyness of the main strip. Fantastic, friendly and helpful staff who speak perfect Spanish and English. I stayed in a single in their new space just around the corner from the main hostel, but looked in all the rooms of both buildings plus the dorm. Every room & bathroom was clean and well kept. Mine had AC that worked perfectly. Great breakfast too.

We used this hostel as a base while we visited our children in Tulum. It became like a home for us and we were treated like family by Rafa and Zak. The breakfasts are amazing with lots of variety. It is a quiet hostel and really relaxed and good value for money.

This was a reasonable place to stay. Nice staff and clean rooms. Lights out was reasonable and guests were polite. The outside city noise was quite loud all night and it was on the outskirts of town. They had a big eating area and kitchen. There was a rooftop sitting area to hang out or hang clothes.

We stayed in the 18 bed dorm for one night and then the private for another two. The dorm was extremely spacious for 18 people. However it was very cold at night as there were no windows. The bathrooms were a bit smelly which could be due to old sewage system and many people sharing. Private was great. Would be good to have rubbish bins with lids in the bathroom given they’re not emptied everyday in the private. Overall excellent value for money, great rooftop and Raph was amazing.

Such a warm welcome by Rafael, he's super mellow and kind. Great breakfast, great rooftop. Streets are pretty noisy and the showers are super slow so if you're trying to wash your hair, be prepared to spend some time. Hot water, free drinking water, bikes available for rent. Great value for money all around. Don't bother if your expecting immaculate amenities and touristy stuff. Defo come if you're looking for a chill place in a great location.

Rafael, the host, was fabulous. Breakfasts were included and were lovely however it would have been nice if served earlier, 8:00 a.m., so we could get going sightseeing. Private room was spacious w hot showers although the bed was soft & pillows overdue for new ones. Noise was constant with barking dogs, trucks, & loud motor cycles. Bring ear plugs!
