When we arrived we were charged an extra 100 pesos because “the conversion had changed” and there was a card fee despite the website saying they would take the money after booking. The bathroom was filled with bugs including cock roaches. There were lizards and cockroaches in our beds which the reception were not helpful about. The air conditioning was only on for a few hours during the day and 10pm-8am so the room was still uncomfortably warm and humid when trying to sleep. The pool was gross.

The hostel was nice, the bathroom smelled like raw sewage bad. Party hostel so don’t expect to get sleep on weekends

we had a disappointing stay at Maui. Firstly the total cost of the hostel was different to that shown on the hostelworld at with no explanation give except a shrug of the shoulders. Our private wouldn't lock. We felt the bike hire was extortionate, FYI you can rent them for half the price down the road. Not much atmosphere at the hostel.
