It was my second stay at this place, apparently, I liked it the first time, I guess, in Spring 2018. Everything was nice, the friendly staff, overall cleanness and lack of noise (an important feature). What I did not find and would like to: 1. in a shared restroom in a dorm there was no hook to hand, say, a towel and a robe! 2. In the kitchen I would love to have a teakettle and/or a small pot like for a pint, ok, let it be a quart 3/ The cups - I found only plastic there - it'd be good to have real coffee

This is a good hostel to meet people. Really great common area where you could store food/cook and would be good for longer stays. It's in LIC so not central Central but it's not a million miles away to get into central times sq. Don't be tricked by the very expensive supermarket next door - go over the road to super cheap food hangouts. :D I loved the view of the subway twisting round mid-air out of the window

    Very Good

Solid hostel. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen space is pretty good with tables, eight ball and table tennis plus party room. The bedroom gets pretty crowded when there are 8 people in it. The toilet/bathroom is tiny but sufficient. The shower is a weird singular room but works, although another hook up high would be useful. The beds squeak a bit but also fine. Location of the hostel is great, only 3 minutes walk to train station then 10 minutes and you are at mid town.

Stayed here for six nights, one in an 8 bed dorm and five nights in a 2 bed dorm. The 2 bed dorm was fine, especially for the price. But the 8 bed dorm, especially the bathroom, was one of the worst. The toilet and shower were in separate little rooms but the shower had nowhere to store your stuff or hang your clothes. The hostel is in a good location though, close to multiple subway lines and only a few mins from Midtown Manhattan.

I stayed at the hostel for 2 periods over the New Year Break. My First room was FANTASTIC!!! I've stayed in allot of hostel and I can say this was up there with the best if them. Thee second room however was HORRIBLE 5 beds only 4 lockers and stuff from other guests everywhere. When I spoke with staff about a locker they were very rude and essentially said too bad. I had allot of valuables with me which caused allot of stress without having somewhere secure to put them as advertised. Not great!!

I stayed in the dorm on the ground floor which was really loud because it‘s close to the street plus the reception is right in front of the room. Going to bed early or sleeping in in the morning was not possible. Other than that my blanket was not really clean and had a weird smell (you can also wash these you know) and we had two cockroaches in the bathroom that appeared at night when I turned the lights on. Fortunately, I saw them on my last night because after that I couldn‘t sleep anymore.

This is the most anti social hostel I've been to. Staff were not very friendly. The hostel had no atmosphere or social life whatsoever. It was clean and the kitchen is properly equipped. There is a train that passes in front of the hostel and makes noise all night long. This wasn't a deal breaker for me as I'm a heavy sleeper, but if you're a light sleeper this can be an issue.

Staff was unhelpful. They had moved around beds but didnt followup afterwards, so when I arrived my bed wasnt ready for me and they gave me linens and pillowcase for me to make my own bed. This was at midnight. Things like this can happen easily in an unkempt facility, but it'd be fine if there was some sort of apology or explanation. NOTHING. The staff lady just looked irritated and left me to work myself in. BTW, they don't even say hello so embrace yourself for unfriendliness galour.
