Enjoyed my stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The laundry service is nice (they wash your clothes for you, so you can use that time to do things around town!)

Really nice place and nice staff. Pretty clean and secure. AC in rooms. Good value for what you pay. Breakfast is toast with various spreads, plus some oranges. Water is provided which is great. Rooftop is a nice extra. My only problem was with other guests, quite a few of whom were inconsiderate. The walls are fairly thin. There are many large family rooms here (10, 14 and 18 size). My room was next to an Asian family who were chatting and laughing long into the night.

No complaints, comfortable beds + decent breakfast. I didn’t spend much time in the hostel during my two nights there, but it was convenient for getting into the city center and to/from airport

Lovely stay for a few nights, easy to get to where you need to in Singapore! I had some nice roommates and the hostel was really friendly with some amazing staff so the atmosphere was great! They are also good at helping you to organise your trip! Only small downside is they shut the toilet/showers in the morning to clean, but it’s at peak time so be warned if you need to leave at a specific time!

Rucksack Inn was a really fun hostel. Met a lot of fun people and there was a nice social atmosphere in the common areas like the roof. Breakfast was okay but got quite busy. Close to metro stations which was good!

A nice hostel to stay with a bunch of friends. The general areas were usually empty which made getting to know people hard for a solo traveler like me. Staff is friendly, beds are comfy, pretty far away from everything apart from Little India but public transportation is very easily accessible, so I didn’t mind the location.

Good location as I pretty much walked everywhere I wanted to in the city from there, free breakfast was toast but I mean there was peanut butter so v haps about that. Everything was clean and tidy the only potential issues were the bathroom being a trek down the corridor and the short head height in the bunk beds. Wouldn’t say it’s the most social hostel but again not the worst.

Place was okay However in my room there was a guy snoring so loud no one could sleep at all. Sadly I know the hostel had nothing to do with this however if someone is snoring so bad making it impossible to sleep the whole night then my stay was miserable

Rucksack Inn @Lavender Street (Green Kiwi) says

I'd say the most unique feature of our hostel is the rooftop garden. It's big, it's lush, and it's a great place to hang out, especially in the evenings when it's cooler. We can't help that it's hot in Singapore during the day, but you can sunbathe if you like.

Also, our breakfast puts us ahead of the rest. We provide a variety of spreads and breakfast lasts till 12.. or later! So you can sleep in! We also provide complimentary all day coffee and tea.

Singapore is quite a small island, with excellent public transport, and nothing is very far. We're in the city area, easily accessible from all the main tourist areas. We have the famous Lavender Street hawker centre just across the road, with heaps of cheap local food. I'd recommend two must-see free things: the URA's Singapore city gallery (three floors of scale models of the city) by day, and the four sections of Singapore River (Clarke Quay, Boat Quay, Marina Bay, Gardens by the Bay) by night.
