Staying at this hostel was one of the highlights of my Tokyo trip! The location is perfectly placed in a historic area with great markets, food stalls, restaurants and bars. The staff did everything they could to help all of the guests, and they were so kind and approachable! I made so many great friends through the hostel and we enjoyed using the communal kitchen for group meals. Sakura is perfect for social travellers on a budget!

I had an outstanding experience with this hostel! If you are like me and need a break from the crazy hustle bustle of the city but still want to be nearby, Sakura Hostel is the perfect accommodation! I happened to make friends with a lot of the staff and customers. Towards the end of my stay, I felt I was at home! Nonetheless it was easy to get anywhere in the city from here and you are really close to prime locations such as Senso-ji temple and Tokyo SKYTREE! I highly recommend this place

Greta hostel, has everything you need; shared kitchen, lockers, curtains & light in bed, 24hr reception... It's close to Tawaramachi which has great links to Ueno and many great places in Tokyo. Lovely staff and a good atmosphere, we especially enjoyed playing the retro games console!

Loved it. The staff are also incredible English speakers, so in a foreign place that was really helpful for guidance and advice. It’s about .7 miles from the nearest subway stop... which, in the heat or with a bit of baggage could be a challenging distance... Otherwise, fantastic.

This was my first time staying at a hostel and I didn't know what to expect. However, the staff was so wonderful and accommodating, I couldn't have had a better time. For the price, this hostel was amazing and I would stay here again.

Lovely hostel with good sized room and comfy beds. Communal areas were nice, bathroom may have been slightly dirty at times (around sink). Bit of a walk from the subway if you’re doing it with big bags/in the heat.

The Hostel was awesome. I met a ton of friends in my room and also found friends with the staff. The reception was helpful, specifically Ryo, he would help me plan trips to Yokohama or anywhere in Tokyo I needed to go— do you know how hard it is to navigate the subway system in Japan? I was a solo traveler so the guy was a life saver. The facilities were clean, the beds were okay, the location was amazing and the room was nice and cold after experience 90 degree heat. Overall 8.5! Def go again

A nice hostel but felt more like the hotel in the Shining. Vast size but few people to talk to. Felt isolated. But. Awesome WiFi and facilities. Thank you.
