The photos do not do this place justice. Stunning location. Amazing views. Accommodation is basic with no aircon or fan. Food in the restaurant excellent. Breakfast basic but included We were aware of access using lift of hiking(!) so didn’t bother us although used the lift more than we thought as it was so hot when we were there. In a city of expensive accommodation this was a bargain. Traveling for a month in Europe with 3 teenagers and all of them report this was their favourite accommodation

Rooms are small but clean with comfortable beds. We were in the room in the attic where the wifi did not reach, it was dark and you could not fully sit up in the top bunk (I’m 5’9). Breakfast and hairdryers included was a bonus but lack of cooking facilities meant we spent a great deal of money eating out.

The acommodation is in the top of a montain. The acsess for there is very hard, 25 minutes walking or you paid 4 euros in a lift of the city museum. In raining days is even more hard. In addiction, the hostel being in a restaurant, so the smell of food is sometimes disgusting. But the city is very expensive and the price is good. The view is amazing, is almost the only thing good.

Be warned this hostel is up 200 stairs on a hill! That being said, the view is incredible! The staff was incredibly nice but very busy the whole time with the restaurant. The bathrooms and showers were nice but there was no soap in any! There is no kitchen or common area to hang out, just the restaurant patio. I only stayed two nights and was barely there, so it was all fine, but I would recommend a different place if you are staying longer. The free breakfast was great but didn’t start til 9am.

This hostel is connected to the restaurant below. So much so that any common area photographed is actually part of the restaurant and not for the use of guests. We managed to sit in the restaurant one night to use it as a common area, however when the restaurant closed, we were told we had to move. Having nowhere to go but your room needs to be improved significantly. Getting to the hostel is quite the trek unless you're willing to pay €2.50 each time you use the elevator attached to the museum.

Staff only cares about the restaurant, it’s near impossible to get ahold of one to do anything. They will acknowledge you then walk away and never come back leaving you standing for anywhere from 25-30 minutes on average . When you book on hostel world you’re put in a room up the smallest spiral staircase that is near impossibly to get up with a backpack. They cleaned the washroom and shower room but didn’t bother to check if they needed anything leaving the ladies washroom without toilet paper

I’ll try not to echo other reviewers by telling you it’s on top of a mountain and has poor staff, but those things are true. Further than that, there is no security, with the restaurant doors being left unlocked. Additionally, there were bugs and hair everywhere. The outlets were sparse and the bathroom falling apart. It had the bones of a nice place and had a pleasant facade (topped off by the view) but in reality was an afterthought left untended to.

My room was insanely dirty and HEAVILY INFESTED WITH BED BUGS. And I do mean HEAVILY infested. I saw hundreds of them, hiding in every single crevice in my room. I fled the hostel immediatly and overall the experience was incredibly unpleasent. This place needs to be shut down. (The presence of bed bugs can sometimes be forgiven because travellers often bring them around. But this insane level of infeststation show that there clearly was a LONG time since the room was even cleaned.)

This hostel has left me with bed bug bites all over my legs and feet, it was completely unclean and infested. On top of that, the staff were rude, with no communal hostel area and the 'bar' and restaurant shutting at 8pm or even earlier, so atmosphere was non existent. The view does not make up for any of this. Do not stay here.
