The only problem that I had was finding the stairs to get up to the hostel but I was expecting that. But the hike up was beautiful. The hostel itself doesn’t look like a hostel. It looks like it’s just a restaurant (which it also is) but you are in the right spot! The rooms were nice with comfy beds. The breakfast is a modest 2 rolls with ham, cheese, jelly, Nutella and butter on the side and the offer juice and coffee as well. You are able to enjoy breakfast with beautiful views of Salzburg.

It has a magnificent view on the top but you have to take a long staircase as it is situated on top of a mountain. But the staff is really helpful and the breakfast is great! I'm enjoying my stay there

This place is excellent. The best views in Salzburg, and surrounded by nature. Friendly staff and good facilities. Not super-easy to get to but a lot easier than many reviews make out. Walk 5 minutes from the centre of town to the lift, catch the lift up the mountain, then walk 5 minutes to the hostel.

Superb hostel!! Beware that it is located a bit of a hike up a hill, but the views of the city are phenomenal, and the breakfast room even has a beautiful panorama of the city. Really one of the coolest hostels I've ever stayed at. Really chill and relaxed staff too.

Solid hostel. Great view, and the facilities were alright, although I was in a high room with precarious stairs to reach. Staff were great, but seemed run pretty ragged.

Hostel was in a beautiful area, on top of Salzburg and the view was amazing. The actual place however, wasn’t that great. They are only open certain times so you can’t have early or late check in/check out. When we arrived to check in we had to wait for the restaurant staff to help us (wasn’t obvious who to speak too). Our booking hadn’t been acknowledged and wasn’t showing on their system. They put us in a room because luckily there was space but we had to move rooms throughout our stay.

This hostel was a nightmare to find! I ended up on an unlit path in the middle of nowhere, as it got dark with absolutely no idea where the hostel is all while by myself as a solo female traveller. When I rang the hostel they just laughed and told me I shouldn't have used the street address. So note - follow the signs to the lookout of the same name as the hostel. Also extremely rude staff, super dark walk to the hostel at night. Not worth it for the view, you can just go to the museum lookout.

First of all, nowhere does it say this hostel is on top of a f_cking mountain. There’s no directions on how to get up there. Just having to use your precious EU SIM card data, to look at google images of what the place looks like. Google maps is 2D so it doesn’t show you the UPWARDS trajectory you need to get there. I actually couldn’t end up finding the funicular and it was late so I bought a hotel near the bottom. And I was STILL charged for those nights. Stay here only if you have a jet pack
