An ‘auberge’ translates as an ‘inn’ and ours is situated in a 1875 warehouse, which we restored and rejuvenated. The basic attributes and rich textures of the old city building: the rock walls, the old hardwood floors, the arched windows and high ceilings.

Great location in the old town, everyone was super nice and friendly all they wanted to do was help you. Just remember to buy food somewhere else and bring it back because there is no good/cheap food nearby. Anything I needed from a bicycle to an umbrella to loose-leaf tea they supplied very pleasant atmosphere.

Really enjoyed my stay here! Good location in old Montreal with beautiful buildings to see, fun common room, friendly staff and awesome breakfast available for purchase (hello vegan muffins!)

Really enjoyed my stay. Staff were very helpful and the rooms and common area were amazing. There was a small aircon unit in the 10 bed dorm - but it was a very hot week of summer and was very hot in the room some nights. Otherwise perfect

Hostel with a great common space where all people come together. My recommendation: book the 10 bed room because in the 9 bed room you got 3level beds.

First time in Montreal, first time traveling alone. I really enjoyed my stay here: the hostel had everything I needed, I felt very accommodated; and also well taken care off, as the staff was very attentive and were available to answer any questions I had. The common room was big and beautiful, with places to sit and eat, or write, or chat, or play music, or games, or whatever, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Made the trip really easy for me.

Excellent for the price. Twenty person dormitory was relatively quiet and I liked the curtains around the beds for extra privacy. I didn't have the breakfast but it was nice that it was available. Kitchen facilities were perfectly adequate.

The common area is great, pretty hip. Everything is kept clean, and we get fresh linens and towels on check-in. There is a locker for keeping valuables (keep a padlock, though they lend you one for free if you ask). Overall, only one major room for improvement: breakfast should start earlier than 7:30, given that so many occupants like to start early!

I stayed in a room for 6, women only. The room was very nice, clean. There were en enough plugs for everyone and each bed had it's locker. The room gets pretty warm, when it's hot outside but otherwise ok. The bathrooms were clean and had everything you need. I think there should be some more bathrooms for so many people, but it worked out in the end. Kitchen small but has everything you need. The only critic is really the staff. Except for the woman they were no help and pretty impolite.

Location and price were fine, the community room has a good atmosphere. Adding a towel with your sheets is a big bonus. A minor drawback is that I never had to use the front door code; it was always open. Anyone could walk in at any time. The major drawback was the quality of the bunk beds. They were so rickety, when the lower guest so much as batted an eyelid it shook the entire bed like an earthquake. I didn't sleep; in fact, in the middle of the night I took my gear and slept in the shower.
