The Bulldog Hotel has been completely renovated in 2024 with brand new facilities that set The Bulldog Hotel as the standard for others to follow. Smart TV's (excl dorms). En-suite rooms, top of the range mattresses and linens and a style like no other..

Located on the edge of Amsterdam's legendary Red Light District in the centre of the old city, walkable to almost every attraction in Amsterdam and only 10 minutes walk from Central Station. Our smoker friendly (no tobacco 😉) Lounge Bar is always lively and always fun. Enjoy the laid back living room concept that makes The Bulldog Hotel Lounge Bar the place to be.

Enjoy Live DJ's, Bands, Pool and Game tables and an unbelievable selection of cocktails, beers, drinks and food where you'll meet travellers from around the world, maybe bump into a celebrity or two and definitely have some stories to tell!

24/7 onsite staff, and a dedicated security team make sure that your visit to Amsterdam is safe and one to remember.

In addition to the most comfy beds and linens, we offer free towels for our guests, free luggage storage on arrival and departure, free use of lockers in shared rooms and free wifi.

All of our rooms (dorms and private) have en-suite bathroom and shower. No running down the hallway for a shower!

Need some fresh air? Our Rooftop Terrace is accessible only for our hotel guests! Kick back with gorgeous views of the Old Church (founded in 1213), grab a drink from the Lounge Bar, something from The Energy Coffeeshop next door or bring your own. Get some rays and meet some peeps.

For our guests that require some extra accessibility, please enquire with us about availability in our rooms with fully accessible facilities. Our entrance, Lounge Bar and rooms are suitable for everyone.

Comfortable and centrally located. Staff was super helpful and even allowed us to borrow umbrellas. Due to a train strike we had to stay an extra day and they were able to accommodate us and get us into a new room first thing. The food in the lounge was delicious and priced better than the restaurants nearby. A great stay!! We would definitely stay again!

It’s on the best location ever! right in the middle of the city center. Clean, but my electricity didn’t work, i couldn’t charge my electronics, so i had to ask on reception that they need to fix it. So that was weird.

It?s no exaggeration to say this is one of the best known hostels in the world. Most will know of its legend simply by word of mouth. It?s located right in the centre of the city smack bang in the middle of all the action, with the red light district and Dam Square mere steps away. The place is lively without being unbearable. It doesn?t accept stag or hen do?s, sports groups or massive marauding all-male parties, so you can expect the hostel bar and overall atmosphere of the place to be fun and lively, but not too boisterous.
