This hostel was a great atmosphere and close to walk to shops & restaurants but it was missing a few hostel essentials such as cabinets for luggage (they have school lockers but were full), an outlet and working light on the top bunk, WiFi upstairs in the sleeping area, the ability to sit up on the top bunk, and fresh-smelling linens. They smelled a bit musty :/

Awesome place! It’s right in the heart of West Asheville so there is so much to do within only a few blocks in all directions. The folks who run this hostel are super friendly and professional. I stayed in the tiny house under the deck and it was exactly what I wanted. Thanks!

BAD vibes at checkout. I removed all things from room prior to 10a, returned towel and sheets; respectful guest. I admit I did not realize my code inactivated at 10a, had a couple items still in the fridge; met with attitude when trying to enter at 11:30a; told I should be checked out. Vulgarities from staff (said she was the owner?) while she finished a Natty Ice beer. Many 'staff' living there, unclear if staff or guests; made for weird social environment, even before rude checkout experience.
