We stayed in one of BK's twin rooms for a weekend, which was comfortable and clean. Just needed a safe place to sleep for a couple nights on the cheap, which is what we got— if you're looking for a hostel that has a warm or lively community vibe, this isn't that. Pretty drab set-up, purely functional, though the building's architecture was lovely. Good price point for what you get. Fantastic location, a fun queer neighborhood full of excellent bars, op shops, and a sundry of great food options.

Seemed like more of a long stay hostel than a traveller hostel, which is fine. Private room had enough space and facilities were good

It served its purpose. Good showers and kitchen. Private windowless room was very stuffy and the paper thin walls don't offer much privacy. No social atmosphere My deposit payment didn't go through but I was only told this while in transit from London which made communication with the hostel very difficult. They would not take repayment over the phone and were generally not very helpful on the phone. Fortunately they delayed cancelling my booking just long enough that I was able to get there.
