We stayed 3 nights at Zebra Crossing for our first visit to Cape Town and had a lovely experience. The rooms were very clean, and there was a nice courtyard area to enjoy some quiet time. Donhiel was very helpful providing information and advice for visiting different sites. Would recommend to any fellow backpackers! ⭐

I would definitely reccomend Zebra Crossing, the receptionist that helped me Carlen and the other lady are both friendly and make you feel at home, from the time you set foot until you leave, you'll feel at home. There are nice showers and communal areas that you can access and make use of. The place is amazing!

the most unironically oddball group of people you can find in a hostel environment, by 5:30 after a near constant steam of people waking up and doing who knows what, shaking the entire room, with the lights on (after I was forced to turn off my reading light the night before), I was looking up last minute accommodation for my last night.

Cape Town has even more to offer, with lively neighbourhoods, a thriving creative scene and so much history.

There’s a huge choice of high quality hostels in Cape Town. You will find hostels with common areas and balconies that overlook the mountains, swimming pools, delicious breakfasts and so much style! The city welcomes backpackers and the Cape Town hostels are full of travellers from all around the world, so it’s easy to make new friends and maybe explore the city together.

Cape Town’s hostels are located in the city centre, around the gardens, and in adjoining neighbourhoods. The more central locations offer the liveliest social scene, but another good option is Green Point, a central suburb between Signal Hill and the ocean, where you’ll enjoy incredible views. Cape Town’s airport receives flights from all around the world and it’s the main way of getting to the city. Renting a car is the best option for getting around the city, especially if you are planning to explore further, visiting the vineyards and beaches, or even an amazing South African road trip. Taxis are not that cheap and the public transport is affordable but not widely accessible.
