The worst accommodation i’ve stayed i. in my life. the property looks nothing like the pictures they’ve put on. stank of cigs, mould and dust everywhere. marks all over the beds. my blanket smelt. paint peeling off the walls. graffiti all over the entrance. the fact it’s the same price as other decent places?

Pros: cheapest in the area kind owner, responded quick to phone calls i ended up getting upgraded to basically aprivate room Cons: definitely dirty. i was there 5 days and at no point was my room entered. (could be a pro?)

This is a cheap but utterly cheerful hostel right in the centre of Sydney. It's close to the city's vast selection of late-opening bars and it's just a little way from sights like the Botanical Gardens, Sydney Opera House and the Sea Life Aquarium. A favourite with backpackers doing the famed East coast tour, it's a brilliant place to meet other backpackers. They are big on entertaining their guests here and getting folks to mix, so you're unlikely to get bored. Also, don't worry about asking the staff for help, they're lovely.
