Summary of traveller reviews

YHA Sydney Harbour offers an unbeatable location with stunning views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Guests praise the cleanliness, modern facilities, and friendly, helpful staff. The rooftop bar is a highlight. It's ideal for travellers seeking a central base for sightseeing, though some find it less social than a typical party hostel.

Location is prime and right in the rocks. Walking distance to Harbour Bridge and Opera House (which you can see both off the rooftop). Would highly recommend staying here to anyone who asks.

Doesn't get much better amongst hostels. Location was amazing as were all the staff and facilities. Bathrooms can feel a bit small if you're on the taller side but overall an excellent experience

This place was hands down the best hostel experience I’ve ever had. Clean, safe, quiet, perfect location and absolutely incredible view of the Sydney Opera House steps away from your room. I would recommend this place to any of my friends & family! I’m not really a hostel person but this place felt like a hotel.

Hostelworld says

Sydney Harbour YHA was named the best in Australia and Oceania at the 2010 Hoscars and it?s not hard to see why ? this clean, modern hostel has a stunning view over Sydney Harbour and Sydney Opera House. Hostelworld reviewers say they highly recommend this hostel to other travellers, citing the ?large, clean ensuite rooms? and ?clean safe, family atmosphere?. We like ?the Big Dig??archaeological digs in the ground floor which can be viewed from the walkways on all levels of the hostel.
