Top Events Beijing, China

Beijing always has something going on if you know where to look, whether you’re into electronic music, indie rock, or immersive cultural shows. In 2026, you’ll find 60 events across the city, offering a chance to discover everything from lively club nights in Sanlitun to more low-key gigs tucked away in the hutongs around Gulou. Expect a genuine blend of ancient traditions and modern creative expression, particularly in its independent arts scene.
It's about finding those unique spots where old-world charm meets cutting-edge creative scenes, often in unexpected places that only locals know. Many events happen year-round, but spring and autumn are fantastic for outdoor markets and performances. Staying in hostels keeps things budget-friendly and close to the action, and meeting other travellers on the Hostelworld app is a solid way to team up for events. Beijing in 2026 is about exploring its many layers.
