Pretty good hostel with great location, free coffee, sufficient kitchens, and decent beds. 2 of 4 burners were not working on one of the stoves in the private room building, which was a little goofy. Private rooms are in a separate location (Annex) than dorms, so keep that mind if that is relevant to you. Overall, I had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend staying here.

I’m happy this place exists to make Charleston more accessible however I do feel that this place is expensive. I didn’t have an outlet at my bed, I didn’t speak to staff the entire time (check in is not a thing), and folks at this hostel were only kinda social. The common spaces are cute and the location isn’t too bad. Easy walk to king street and other areas. I didn’t have a car which was great for making it to the beach. Was clean and ultimately ended up staying here 2 times for 4 days total
