We are in the centre of the 18th century baroque city of Catania, less than 5 minutes from the centrepiece of the town: The Piazza Duomo.

Sveva B&B is in the area of the 'Castello Ursino', one of the few structures of the ancient city to survive the 1669 eruption. Centrally located and near the main facilities of the town.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

From Catania you can easily reach Mt. Etna, Syracuse, Taormina or visit the beauty of Catania itself and its nightlife.

Think twice before you book this place! Overall the owner just creeps you out. He wonders around all over his place with no shirt all day and everything including 👴🏻 is dirty. In our shared bathroom, there was dried puke in the sink and dried pee next to the toilet. The cleaning lady comes every day, but the bathroom remained mostly dirty. Bedsheets were not clean! The bed it queekes really loud. previous guests state that they have been stolen from(room keys all the same).

Its what you expect. Location is by the castle which is decent, have to enter into an apartment square and take a questionable lift up, the rooms are all on on floor with a door to the shared kitchen and hallway which is always open. Our door was very difficult to lock from the inside. Bathroom was nice and clean, large shower. Bed headboard gave the room an interesting look, and despite the thin appearance of the mattress it was surprisingly comfortable. Aircon is in good working condition.

All keys for rooms are the same—I had a stranger unlock my door and walk into my room in the middle of the night while I was sleeping. Beware of that when leaving things in your room while you’re gone. Terrace is beautiful and location is good.
