About UNPLAN Kagurazaka

UNPLAN means: Unplanned Travel · Unplanned Encounter · Unplanned Landscape.
Opened in 2016 as the very first UNPLAN — the original that started it all.

Just 3 minutes on foot from Kagurazaka Station, you're in the heart of one of Tokyo's most beloved neighbourhoods. Wander cobblestone alleys, discover hidden temples, and experience the rare charm where traditional Japanese culture meets Parisian elegance. This is not just a place to sleep — it's a neighbourhood to get lost in.

Gather by UNPLAN — Cafe & Lounge
Open: 8:00–18:00 / Last Order: 17:00
Open to guests and the public. Start your morning here, linger over lunch, and let the conversation take you somewhere unplanned.
Not just a cafe — Gather by UNPLAN is the social heart of the building. Come as a stranger, leave as a friend.

Koyoino Parfait — Night Parfait
Open: 18:30–23:00 / Last Order: 22:00 / Closed Wednesdays
As evening falls, the lounge transforms into a magical late-night parfait experience. Each creation is a beautifully layered work of art using seasonal Japanese ingredients — the perfect sweet ending to an unplanned day.

Solo Sauna Tune — Private Finnish Sauna
Open: 8:50–23:00 daily (1F, inside UNPLAN Kagurazaka)
Japan's first private Finnish-style sauna. Your own room, your own heat, your own silence. Authentic Finnish stoves, birch aroma, and a 15°C cooling shower. Advance booking required at solosauna-tune.com.

Hostel was amazing, clean, and had everything you needed. 7min walk to station. Beds comfortable, I got a bit hot through the night but I just like sleeping in cold room. But other than that it was great! Showers had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The roof top view was pretty at night. I would stay here again!

I had such a great stay here. Great location, close to the metro, spacious beds and very clean facilities. Plus, the staff were kind enough to help me out when I wasn’t feeling well. I will definitely book again!

This was my second time staying at UNPLAN Kagurazaka. It’s definitely my favourite hostel in Tokyo! The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. The beds are comfortable and very clean. The facilities are great. The cafe downstairs is lovely and the breakfasts tasty. The area is also very nice — lots of shopping opportunities and I can definitely recommend Yume Marche (5 mins walk) for delicious bento boxes and snacks!
