Summary of traveller reviews

Wakawaka Hostel in Arusha offers a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with incredibly friendly and helpful staff who make you feel at home. Its convenient location is great for exploring the city. Some recent guests noted issues with mosquitoes due to a bathroom window crack and found the common area small. The surrounding area may not be safe to walk around at night.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, but the hostel itself was not a particularly social or enjoyable place to spend time outside the room. The common area was very small and doubled as the reception, so there wasn’t really a comfortable space to relax or hangout. The bathroom window had a crack, which allowed a lot of mosquitoes into the room. One thing future travellers should be aware of is that while the hostel itself felt secure, the surrounding area is not safe to walk around.

I had a really great experience staying here. The atmosphere is welcoming, relaxed and feels very genuine. The staff is kind and always available, and you can really feel that they care about the guests. It’s the kind of place where it’s easy to connect with people and feel comfortable right away. The location is also very convenient, and overall everything made my stay enjoyable and memorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Arusha.
