About

A small hostel with a gorgeous little garden surrounded by fruit trees and chilled out seating areas.

Despite what the maps tell you, we are actually walking distance to the Clock Tower (central) 900 meters from the hostel, coffee shops, restaurants, tourist police station, banks, post office, but giant trees surrounding the garden make you feel secluded.

We've got an incredibly relaxing vibe, like home from home, with hammocks, a cute little bar in the corner of the garden, TV lounge with plenty to watch.

There's a kitchen/restaurant, you let the chef know what you need :)

We have BIG bunk beds and power showers to wake you up with fresh Mount Meru water!

Leave your worries at the gate and feel at home.

Get your laundry done, read a book, have a beverage, watch a movie about mountain climbing :) book a trek with our very own trekking team...and then...get ready to climb the most beautiful mountain in the world!

Our staff have been doing this for over 30 years so we have the best referrals, literally! We can show you Tanzania like you've never dreamed.

You will love this place.

The combination of a 30 year tour guide specialist from Tanzania, a Swiss world traveler (speaks 4 languages) and a British globe trotter, backpacking his way around the world, make this hostel what it is!

A hostel created by the travelers for the travelers.

Live, learn, educate, cook, try some tasty local food, dance with the Masai, watch a giraffe run into the sunset, swim with turtles, gaze your eyes on the beautiful Mount Meru.

Fall in love with this country.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was so relaxing and that staff here are very friendly and help you with anything you need. It was lovely sitting outside listening to nature and being surrounded by trees and plants. I will be calling back here on my way back to Nairobi. Thank you for making me feel welcome.

Pretty clean and very good quality for price. Staff was very kind and the garden/courtyard was lovely and had a very nice atmosphere. Pretty quiet and good energy. Only complaint was that the toilets were outside, so they were kind of a pain to get to. Also there was a deficit of toilet paper.

The hostel was good, but Safari was a desaster with the driver smelling like alcohol and the vehicle having multiple failures (some life-threatening) and eventually completely breaking down in the middle of nowhere where we had to be rescued. I was promised a refund that they would transfer on my account, but they never did. After multiple excuses both Ibrahim and Simba stopped answering my messages. That was the moment I realised I got screwed.
