About

Villa 25 Hostel & Suites balances history with a modern vibe. The building is a registered historical monument of Rio de Janeiro and is connected to a contemporary design construction that harmonizes with the existing architecture.

The retrofitted antique building hosts 8 independent cabins, the shared rooms – mixed or male/female only - with 06 or 12 beds. There are also 06 Classic Suites, in different layouts, some with a balcony to relax in the morning. The front desk and lounge with TV are also located inside the house.

The establishment is also composed by a new building with 11 Design Suites. As hotel rooms, this suites can accommodate from 01 to 4 people and some face the church bells.

As an authentic Boutique Hostel, the ambience combines a casual perspective with elegance, integrating the citizens of the world with the spirits of Villa, where all roads lead to the swimming pool and Restobar, specialized in hamburgers, tapas and unique drinks.

While the rooms were nice most of the bathroom locks and doors are broken. There was no socialising space as it was taken by a restaurant, and there's nothing stopping restaurant goers from going into the room area, that became specially stressful when our room lock stopped working for a couple of days. Rooms were specially cold, and when I asked for another cover, I was told there were no extra. The showers only had 2 temperatures, boiling hot or freezing cold.

The breakfast was amazing. The proximity to the metro was great. Though if you’re planning a beach vacation it is not so convenient. The architecture of the buildings was fun. In the shared room there is a lattice wall, so it can’t truly close. Expect to hear sounds all night and be very hot during the day when they turn off the AC. I didn’t love having to ask for the AC every night.
