Welcome to Elbasan Backpackers Hostel, a family-run hostel where you can experience real Albanian hospitality, local life, and a peaceful atmosphere just a short walk from Elbasan city centre.

Our hostel is located in front of our family home, in a traditional Albanian garden filled with fruit trees, chickens, goats, and views of the surrounding green hills. It is a quiet and welcoming place, ideal for backpackers, families, nature lovers, cyclists, and travellers who want something more personal than a standard hostel.

Here, you are not just booking a bed — you are staying with a local family and discovering everyday life in Albania.

A 4-bed dormitory

Breakfast is included and prepared with simple, fresh, local products. Depending on the season, you may enjoy fruit from our garden, eggs from our chickens, milk from our goats, and products from nearby farmers.

Our hostel is also a great base to discover Elbasan, one of Albania’s most authentic cities. You can explore the old castle walls, Ottoman streets, local markets, traditional restaurants, and the surrounding countryside. As we are also local travel organisers, we are always happy to share tips, routes, and ideas for your stay in Elbasan and beyond.

In case of late cancellation or no-show, the first night will be charged.
