Malaria: As far as we are aware, this is not a malaria area, none of our staff takes anti-malarial tablets (though we do drink a lot of gin & tonic!). Though Dengue Fever is having an impact in Laos and Cambodia, and has been seen in Vietnam, there haven’t been any signs of it here. We do recommend bringing and wearing insect repellent.

Paying for your visit: There is a new ATM in town but it can be unreliable. We recommend arriving in Phong Nha with sufficient funds for your stay. We accept,

Really enjoyed my stay here!! very nice rooms with AC, a fan, a fridge, kettle, and hot water in the bathroom. The staff are also very very nice :)

I had a nice stay here. The room was very comfortable and clean, and showers were hot. The staff were nice, and helped me organise both a tour in Phong Nha and my transport onwards to Ninh Binh. They were also flexible with other small requests.

This is a great hotel and brilliant value for money. Clean room with AC that works well and great water pressure. Really friendly and funny owners who speak good English. Bong helped us arrange a bus to Hue at a good price with pickup directly outside, as well as bike rental. There is a really well-maintained pool area with lots of seating. Also the included breakfast is really good, we loved the pancakes and coffee.
