Everything is all brand-new - we've got new bathrooms and a new media room!
We also have the cleanest rooms in DC because we have a policy of no shoes in the house and no food/eating in the guest rooms.
Room rates include free bed linen, free bath towels, free maid service and a free lockable locker - bring your own lock!

There's free kitchen utensils if you want to cook for yourself.
Free Wi-Fi, free Internet, free computer usage, free use of our Nintendo Wii and free house events, free lockers when you bring your own lock, as well as drinkable water, all throughout the house....and, of course, free meeting new friends. The big city is intimidating to new guests, but you can plan on making some great new friends. Many of our guests end up becoming friends and getting apartments together!
Duo Nomad is designed to encourage interaction among our guests as much as possible. Our rooms are shared, as are the bathroom facilities, kitchens, and living rooms. The living room (or social room) has a huge 42' flat-screen TV, all the premium cable TV channels, DVD player, and a phone to call anywhere in the continental US.

Need some down time? There's a separate quiet study area, too.
What makes us different? The biggest difference is our hostels were started by people just like you and are run by people with needs just like yours. So instead of coming home from school or your internship to an impersonal warehouse of beds, you feel like you're coming home - you're staying with people who fast become your friends; you cook with people from all over the world; you get to learn and experience the city first-hand with friends.
Our friendly staff are on duty until 12 AM to help you with anything you might need, whether it's directions or restaurant suggestions.

Duo Nomad Policies & Conditions:

Cancellation policy: We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and no-shows shall be charged the equivalent of the first night's accommodation. All reservations are pre-authorized 48 hours in advance of your arrival. If your pre-authoriziation is declined 24 hours prior to arrival, your reservation is subject to cancellation.

Payment upon arrival by credit cards, debit cards. You must pay with a credit card. We do not have the facility to take any cash whatsoever. You will not be able to check in unless you are paying with a credit card.

If your credit card information changes please contact us immediately. Any reservations with declined/expired credit cards are subject to termination.


Check in from 15:00 to 22:00 .
Check out before 11:00 .
There is no early check in offered.



Taxes not included - This is an additional 15.95% as mandated by the government; this shall be added to your balance upon arrival.

General:
No curfew.
Non smoking.
We do not accept guests under the age of 18. All guests in a party must be over the age of 18.
You must have a passport and / or US drivers license to check in.
If you are a resident of Washington DC, Virginia, or Maryland, you are restricted to a total of 1 day in any 30 day period.

You may register at any time, but you may not be 'on property' until 3pm. You may leave your luggage with us prior to that. Your bed will be ready by 3pm on the day of your check-in. We request that you vacate the property by 11am. This means all of your belongings must be out of the room and you must leave the property by 11am. You are more than welcome to leave your luggage in our secure closet area for an additional fee while you spend the rest of the day in the city, but if you are checking out today, you must be out of the bed by 11am so we can change it for the next guest.

For any groups of 4 or more, we require a 10% Deposit at the time of booking, 50% of the remaining amount is charged 90 days prior to arrival, and then the remaining 50% Is due 30 days prior to arrival. Any cancellation made within 30 days would be ineligible for a refund.

This property does not offer free airport shuttle service.

For the health and comfort of all of our guests, we do not allow any pets into the premises.
Service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed in all areas of the premises.

During the July 4th Holiday, some additional policies may apply. Please note, the property does not accept cash payments. Please note, there is a maximum stay of 14 days at this property. For all groups of more than 4 guests, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Please note that local VA and D.C. guests are limited to a 1 night stay in a 30 day window. This policy will be flexible during the July 4th Holiday. We do not offer storage for bikes or electric scooters.

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in. Please note that all Special Requests are subject to availability and additional charges may apply.
