Arabas is a friendly, laid-back guesthouse with lots of character, cosy atmosphere and great common areas perfect for travellers looking to experience the unique atmosphere of Thessaloniki. We are located in the Upper Town (Ano Poli), the most beautiful, quiet and safe area of the city, just next to the byzantine western walls and only 2 steps away from the traditional neighbourhood ''Tsinari' where you can taste the local cuisine.The walled city and its monuments can reasonably be called an open Byzantine Museum.Find out about all the Unesco heritage monuments and visit them on foot or join one of the free walking tours to explore some more.

We have a large variety of rooms.Choose one and come to stay with us and be part of our backpacker's family.All rooms include air-condition,ceiling fans, free Wi-Fi, free linen, security lockers, reading lights, hot water, and ensuite shower/toilet.Private rooms have balconies overlooking the sea,kitchenette with utensils, fridge and include towels.Shared rooms have either big windows overlooking the upper town or the garden and those on the ground floor have small private gardens.
We offer free city maps, travel info for day trips or even longer and city recommendations.Large common areas- lounge with a 42'' TV with DVDs,fully equipped common kitchen and BBQ,fridge, laundry facilities, and a lovely garden surrounded by flowers where you can relax in your free time and enjoy the Greek sun!
Although we have events at night, we are not a party Hostel, so after 23.00h you can always continue the party in the local pubs nearby :)

The city centre is only 15 minutes on foot from here. Meet the locals who color and enliven the real Thessaloniki. Feel the pulse of the city as you explore urban streets, hidden courtyards, local life and history!

There's also a bus stop(called Palia lahanagora) a few steps below our guesthouse where you can catch a bus(No 28) to downtown every 20 mins. There's also a small bus, number 22,(cultural line) starting from Olymbiados with Sahtouri Street corner , taking you up the hill, passing by the hostel and going on for a tour through the picturesque Upper Town of Thessaloniki.

Feel free to leave your luggage with us for the day once you checked out when your transport leaves later in the afternoon.
Check-in: From 14:00 pm to 10pm. Check-out: untill 11am.
