Top Events Thessaloniki, Greece

Thessaloniki is a proper student town, and that means there's always something going on. From independent film screenings and gallery shows to impromptu street gigs in old town squares, the programme in 2026 has 31 events to explore. The annual International Film Festival draws a cool crowd, turning the city into a hub for independent cinema and new ideas.
Wander through the Ladadika neighbourhood after dark for buzzing bars and live music, or catch a beach party during summer. The city's relaxed pace often hides a busy underground scene, making every exploration feel like a discovery. Staying in hostels keeps things budget-friendly and close to the action, and using the Hostelworld app is a good way to link up with other travellers before an event. Thessaloniki in 2026 is history, student spirit and a crowd worth joining.
