Purr Hostel

Our stay at Purr was fine for 2 nights, however if you are deciding to stay here, it is important to keep in mind that there is a 10% service fee, even if you pay cash. Additionally staff did not tell us about the filtered tap water so we were paying for bottled water until we discovered it ourselves. And the free breakfast is just tea, instant coffee and crackers. One of the sinks did not drain efficiently, and we would recommend all staff clean bathroom areas more regularly throughout the day.

Good, central place to stay close to Phuket old town. The location is pretty good. However, the private room in the attic (which I ended up in) feels somewhat improvised and the noise from the street makes you feel as if you are right in the middle of the road. Staff is very helpful and can give good recommendations here. The atmosphere is a little cold, but occasionally, people mingle even here.

The location is really good, hostel is very clean, nice staff. Some very minor improvements would have improved my stay such as some hooks in the shower to hang towel/clothes, and a bigger shelf on the bed. There is a crack between bed and wall, I was top bunk and something fell from my small shelf to the bottom bunk below me. A shelf addition especially to top bunk would really help this.
