About

The Bristol Wing is in a lovingly restored historic old police headquarters. Our site was once home to a prison, art studios and even a circus troupe. Murals created by Bristol artists remain in the hallways, illustrating the story of the building. Situated next to the bustling shops of Cabot Circus and not far from the trendy art district of Stokes Croft we are a perfect base for your exploration of Bristol. We have some great cosy spaces including our snug, melt into lush velvet sofas, browse the books in our floor to ceiling bookcase, snuggle up and rest those weary legs. Throughout the building you'll find unique prints donated by artists from UWE Bristol. Chill out and enjoy unlimited wifi and a communal kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee.

The Bristol Wing is slap bang in the middle of Bristol City Centre. We are a stones throw from Bristol Bus Station, 20 minutes walk from Temple Meads Railway Station and only meters away from local bus stops. Bristol's best shopping is on the door step, whether you want the independent shops of Park Street and Clifton, the big name brands in Cabot Circus or quirky market stalls in St Nicholas's Market, we're with-in walking distance of them all. Bristol's historic harbour side is only a ten minute walk away.

Community is at the heart of what we do here. The Bristol Wing is a social enterprise run by YMCA Brunel Group. Any money we make gets reinvested in the work of the charity, This means that the money you spend with us directly helps to support young people in our region - especially those that have faced tough stuff in life.

Ideally suited to single travellers, digital nomads, couples and families we have a mixture of rooms including dorm rooms, double rooms and family rooms. Some of our rooms are offered with a private bathroom down the corridor (not an en-suite), others have a shared bathroom. We also have en-suite rooms available, perfect for families.

Calm, safe, comfortable. Really great option for a solo stay in Bristol! Kind and friendly staff. Couldn't believe how well stocked it was. 10/10 recommend

A nice enough place, but not quite equipped for self catering. The kitchen doesn't have any stovetop/even a small portable induction stovetop, so just one microwave (plus i guess an oven?) between all guests trying to cook/reheat their dinner so occasionally queuing for the microwave in the evenings. A good enough hostel if you eat out/aren't fussed by zero atmophere in the common spaces, but was just a let down by kitchen facilities seemingly all competitors in both bristol and elsewhere have
