Yakety Yak Hostel is located in Thamel. The heart of the hip and happening Kathmandu. It is a planned and purpose-built hostel and not some residential building converted to a hostel. We’ve worked with design firms and professional architects to bring you the aesthetically designed beds. Rooms have been designed to restrict street noise through sound insulation.
Since Yakety Yak Hostel is purpose built, we’ve spent a lot of time planning each area carefully. There are five spacious private rooms and 7 large dorms. A total of 72 beds. Segregated showers with running hot and cold water and WC areas, a huge lounge area, a sunny terrace and the coolest bar in town. We also have a kitchen, wash area, luggage storage and a travel desk for your needs.
Our Hostel with is one with a distinct spirit and professional management with plenty of amenities and facilities at a value for money rate.
We are located in the traffic allowed section of Thamel, so you can drive right up in your taxi.
Rest assured, you’ll wake up refreshed. We have tested over 8 different mattresses before we settled on the ones we loved. With a segregated washroom, you’ll always find a shower to walk into and a WC at your disposal. Head over to the lounge or the sunny terrace and then order breakfast from a choice of three restaurants.
Head out for your day or sightseeing or shopping. In return, you can relax and swap stories at the bar drinking ice cold beer. If its the weekend, then watch the English Premier League or La Liga on our big screen and cheer for your favorite club. Or just chill and strum a guitar and sing your favorite song.
A long day, later just check up on your social media in-bed where there are free Wi-Fi and a convenient charging port to charge your phone. Then hit the sack for another day of adventure.
