Summary of traveller reviews

Exclusive Dependance in Palermo offers a fantastic central location, perfect for exploring the city. Guests frequently praise the friendly and helpful staff, especially Yuri. The hostel is noted for its cleanliness and comfortable beds with privacy curtains. While some mention noise from the lively street outside, many find it manageable. It's a great choice for solo travellers and backpackers seeking a social yet comfortable stay.

I had a comfortable stay here, it is just that I stood outside in the dark and rang the doorbell many times before anyone answered, even though my arrival was expected. It was dark and I felt unsafe & very unwelcome. It was a terrible feeling. Later zturk explained that his mother's phone was dead, but still... otherwise, I had a good stay!

READ BEFORE BOOKING (Safety concerns) Poor facilities were the last worry. In 3 days we only witnessed hostility. Heard the lady owner regularly insulting Eng-speaking guests in Italian (I’m Ita). Police entered the hostel to arrest someone, I translated another guest’s concerns (owner lady speaks no English and showed no interest in people): Yuri the other owner screamed in my face 20 times “the only right you have is to shut the f* up” and threatened to kick me out. Chaotic, pitiful people.

The building architecture is unique. A maze of courtyards and apartments. Nice bath fixtures! Great coffee options. It’s a bit of a reverse escape room to get into the room but that’s part of the adventure.
